Double Duty
I really like the thought behind these Mylar ponchos. So much so, that I bought two. I picked up the second when I saw that the price had randomly dropped 50% (to $2.50).One of the problems with emergency Mylar blankets is that they're difficult to keep wrapped around your body, especially in wind. The thin material is also more likely to catch on a branch or a rock and rip. These problems are better solved in a poncho design. For rainy situations, this poncho is very light and very easy to carry. For warmth situations, it works much better than an emergency blanket as an inner layer, as it's more form fitting. No, they won't last forever as far as reuse, but the price point makes it easy to purchase new ones as needed.I would easily recommend these over traditional emergency Mylar blankets. They are definitely worth the (minor) extra cost.

Function, yes. Durable, no.
I have used these ponchos before during an open water rescue. They are so paper thin they pretty much rip if you look at them the wrong way.But for the parts that aren’t ripped, they do keep the rain off and the warmth reasonably in.

Maybe my expectations were too high. I bought this for when I camp or offroading in my UTV. It rained really hard so I took this out...and it ripped very, very easily. Though when I put it on and used the UTV seatbelt to hold it together it did keep me somewhat warm (minimal body heat loss)

Its a Cheap Space Blanket Poncho - Not Impressed
It's a glorified space blanket that is a one-time use item for sure. Not sure I would trust this in any rain, but I have a couple in my car just in case. Maybe car seat protection after a swim. You get what you pay for and I would opt for a little better quality rain poncho. I know it's inexpensive, but you can get a tarp for the same price and have better protection from the elements.

I am giving this ZERO stars. I'm very upset, I bought this yesterday for a camp out next week and it ripped as I was opening it. It is very poor quality. It is as thin and strong as tissue paper. I have never ever given a negative review on anything. I seriously question who rates these items. Buyer beware! I would like to add a comment here. The very next day after posting this comment I received a full refund and didn't even ask for it. I apologize for leaving the negative review but I want people to know that if you choose to buy this be VERY CAREFUL when opening poncho. It rips as easy as paper.

Very good.
Better than I thought it would be. Pricing is reasonable.

great for my survival kit
great for my survival kit. I am a borderline preper so I have done my research on what is good or not. This made the cut and is in my bug out bag in my jeep.

Didn't end up having to need it at WayHome (thank god), but for what it's worth its super light and packed in a box (around 1"x2.5"x3.5" give or take). I'm saving it for my next outdoor festival, so I'll update with its actual performance then. Just wanted to let you know its good for packing light.

Ideal for backpacking
Great for those times when a tinfoil hat is n/a.Lol, but really, it's a cheapy thing, but gets the job done. It's basically very thin material, and blows in the wind, but if backpacking, it sure is great for hot rain, or to keep dust off.

They should all be like this.
WAY better than the standard blanket. Got caught out on the trails and had this in my pack: turned (what could have been) a *really* bad day into an uncomfortable experience.

awesome
It's a little tight on my big head (motorcycle helmet XXL) getting it on, but totally awesome.

I thought these night be more used ful than the blankets . They are fairly short so if needed for sleeping a blanket would still be neded for the lower legs and feet. Have not had to used them yet but tried one on and immediately felt warmer.
