B & M Brown Bread, Raisin and Original Flavors, One of Each Can with Spice of Life Bamboo Spreader

We enjoyed this bread, had been many years since seeing it in a store

I wanted to try this product so bad. Sooo... I did. It wasn't bad at all. I thought it would taste like leftover rations from the Great Depression. Perhaps a bit of an exaggeration, but it's close to what I really thought. I just knew it would taste like the "can" it came in but, to my surprise, it was rather pleasant. I tried to pinpoint the exact taste of the bread, and the only thing I could come up with is... coffee. It's coffee-like. I don't drink coffee but it is the only thing I could come up with. If you hate coffee flavored anyting, you may or may not like the bread. Here's my disclaimer: My taste buds are different from the next person's. Someone else may describe it completely different. My advice, is to not only read other reviews, but to try it for yourself. Personally, I liked it! You might too!What I did was, put it in some foil, stuck it in the oven for 30 minutes, added a little bit of butter, and enjoyed it with a hot cup of tea with milk. :)Note: It does not have the texture or consistency of regular bread. It does not toast like bread. It stays very moist even after 30 minutes. It makes a nice hot (crumb) cake.

Recently bought this product which has an amazing taste. No problems there. However, it was impossible to get the brown bread out of the can. I cut off both ends of the can, but the bread would not slide out. It was stuck to the inside of the can. I finally ended up scooping the bread out of the can in pieces. I thought maybe it was past the expiration date, but it was dated July 14, 2024.Would I buy this again, probably not!

Surprisingly tasty, considering I first saw it on a TV food competition where it was a "curve-ball" required ingredient. Think unbleached full multigrain with a lot of molasses. Soft and a little bit chewy. Makes excellent toast. Don't think I would use it for sandwiches, etc. As it is canned, it has a relatively long shelf life.

Wasn't my favorite. Really a strong flavor.

Price was a bit high, but included shipping. Sent to a friend who is in an area where this isn't sold.

My parents grew up on the east coast and brought this tradition with them when we moved to the west coast. We usually had this with beans and hotdogs and on holidays. I could not find it sold locally and was pleased that I could order from Amazon. I wanted my children to experience it. Price was a bit higher than I expected but the taste brought back so many memories. I served this toasted with butter or cream cheese. Product was fresh and moist.
