Feline Furniture Feral Cathouse - Midnight Black

Just received the cat house. We have an elderly neighbor that lives alone. She asked me to try to find her a shelter for the 2 feral cats she feeds. Last year we used a cardboard box that didn't hold out too well.This unit looks like it'll work but just a few things different than what's advertised. This unit doesn't have the green 1" insulation on the door flaps and the description on Amazon says just install hooks for the door flaps and it's ready to go. It didn't come with hooks but I don't see what good hooks would do, because there's what looks like a piece of magnet on the flap and an equally sized piece of velcro on the awning that lines up in the area of the flap when raised. Not sure what the velcro is for. I had a velcro kit handy so I put some on the magnet and above the door and, shazam. Other than that, it looks like a nice solid cozy place for the little guys to sleep. Now if they'll get along well enough to sleep in such close quarters remains to be seen. I see you have no more available right now. Dreadful. Please get busy. Lol. :)

This is the second one I have purchased, in addition to the one I purchased years ago. I supply heated beds in a garage, but some of the cats in my feral colony prefer to stay outside. I have made my own shelters, but these are worth the money. Very well made and last for a very long time. I still have my first one from a few years back and the cats love it. I just want to urge anyone who buys one to be sure to only use straw (there is some included) and not hay, when you have to get more. Hay will freeze when wet, meaning the cat could freeze. Always use straw. If you don't have a place near you that sells it, you can buy it here on Amazon.

Really....Really nice Cathouse! The cats had taken to this Midnight Black Feral Cathouse on the first day. It's warm and comfy just the way the cats like it. If you choose to after you receive it just add some straw, throw blankets, and maybe one or two folded mylar blankets that I placed underneath the straw to make it extra warm because it will reflect body heat and that's it. The reason why I said one or two mylar blankets under the straw is because sometimes with cats they don't like crumpling sound of it but it is really effective.

Love this! I've had it outside for 1 day and my backyard feral is already enjoying it. I found him inside early today and again this evening.
