Great Bell for Dog Collar
I bought this leather bear bell for my dog to wear when we hike in the woods. This bell is well made and has a clear sound. I have bought other bells that did not hold up, tarnished after my dog crossed a stream or broke. The clasp that holds this bell to the dog collar is secure. This is a high-quality bell that is good for training and for hiking in the woods as it lets animals and hunters know that a dog is in the area. Good protection. yes I recommend this product.

A very well made bell,
love the sound ,not annoying ,would recommend to all pheasant hunters, I hunted pheasant's for 30 plus years , I ordered for dogs to where during hikes to scare snakes away ,it does , dogs cant sneak up on anything anymore , also bears , I tried one bell out on my hikes totaling maybe 20 miles ,so I ordered more ,dogs go in water , bell is pretty cool ,not cheaply made ,zero rust , i love it , dogs will take maybe 10 or 15 minuets to get use to it ,if they never had a bell on before ,but then perfect ,

Bear bell
The order was incomplete, lacking the leather buckle strap that the bell clips onto. The bell is fine. I like the tone and the loudness is just right to alert bears and other wildlife.

Ring a Ding . . . Ding!
We live in an area of Western North Carolina and every year we welcome a new family of bears to our environment. So, to be safe and considerate of our new momma bear and her 3 cubs, we walk our dog Sam with the Auburn Leathercrafters bell attached to his collar.Safe, secure and a very nice jingle.

Perfect for alerting wildlife!
I live in an area where wildlife is present, deers, bears, sometimes a mountain lion. I wanted something for my dog's collar that would warn that we were nearby because you never want to surprise a wild animal. I mostly wanted this because of the aggressive deer attacks we have here in the city. Adds to my confidence for our daily walks. I also wear one on my backpack for our walks. Another brand but pretty much the same bell, different attachment style. One for my dog one for me.Perfect for being in the outdoors, especially when safety is a concern. I'd buy again.

I loved the look of it
I loved the look of it, but when my dog went out in the backyard, she came back in without it. Next time out, gone again. Can't locate it this time. I was very disappointed because I had high hopes for this bell. Was planning to try ductaping it if I could find it.

Well made and sufficiently loud
We spotted a bear within a half mile of our large property so got some bells for myself and the dogs. Some dogs take to it better than others. I have a 50 lb male that took a little getting used to and then a 25 lb male who could have cared less he had a bell. It's loud enough but not annoying. They've gotten dirty and drug through the forest and have held up well.

Fine in Theory
Living in the North Woods, it’s nice to let a dog be a dog. As long as I can see them or hear them, I feel comfortable, which means dogs usually within 50 yards. The product works well. It allows me to know where my dog is, and as the bell is different than the bell on my other dog, I could differentiate between the two dogs. The problem with this particular bell is the leather strap riveted to the bell. Eventually the leather deteriorates and falls off the the attachment swivel. Somewhere in the “haystack” of the surrounding forest floor, there are now two of these “needles”, probably never to be found.
