Perfect for my husband's Doctoral Graduation party!
My husband just earned his Doctorate and isn't walking in the graduation ceremony so he didn't have the graduation robe and tam. I thought it would fun for him to at least have the tam to wear and display with his diploma. This was a good price seems well made. His head is on the larger side and he has a hard time finding hats that fit him comfortably so the adjustable sizing was great. He loved it!

Maybe not the quality you were hoping for!
The hat does NOT fit the maximum size stated. Also, the Velcro closure to adjust the size is on the side of the hat for all to view. Who came up with that design? Also, the quality of the tam is a small step above the disposable use-once hats that are widely avaialble for undergrads. I was expecting a quality, heavy weight material and this is not it. I returned the tam.

Gift for a Doctorate friend
Bought this for a friend who got his doctorate but couldn't make the graduation ceremony. He was thrilled, said his only regret about missing the graduation was he hadn't gotten the "floppy" hat. He now keeps it prominently in his office.
