The dog has no complaints
They get wolfed down whenever given so she obviously likes them. Good value

These sausages are made from quality ingredients .
I have 2kg of these excellent sausages on subscription every month for my dogs - I have given 5 stars for all features - I have no idea about the flavour but the dogs can't get them quick enough - so I think that means they are yummie. They cost a bit more than most dog treats but they are quality ingredients made by a family company who really care about animals. I am confident that they are full of good ingredients and no added cheap nasties. I have been buying them for about 20 months and will continue to do so.

Disappointed as different to previous purchases
I have ordered these sausages before but they are pale yellow and completely different too previous purchases. One of my dogs won't eat them at all and the othere isn't keenUPDATE - I have ordered more since which have been fine and Maltbys kindly refunded my money as I think it was a rogue batch.

Dogs fave
My french bulldog loves these. It doesn't take long for her get through one even though they are quite a substantial sausage.I will definitely be getting more soon

Inconsistent
I've been buying these blackpudding treats for my dog for a few years now, he loves them. Just lately the quality is hit and miss, some arrive moist and fresh, others dry and bitty. I've also had a couple of packs that went mouldy after a couple of days. The latest pack was the last straw, I'm afraid. As soon as the delivery driver handed them to me, I could smell that they were not right at all, a strange, chemical smell. Straight in the bin, not taking a chance on them making my dog poorly. Shame, as when they were good, they were loved by all my doggy friends.

Dog loves them
Not tried them myself but the dog absolutely loves these. Also good for the dogs ingestion system. Regular buyer.

These are NOT venison!!!
Firstly, for context, I've not previously had issues with Maltby Stores and have no axe to grind. Secondly, I have no issue with the quality or the delivery of these sausages. However, and it's a mighty BIG however, these are NOT venison. I have trusted Maltby's in the past with their descriptions but this has been a monumental let down with severe consequences. My dog has various allergies and certain foods cause her severe problems. Chicken is a major problem. She is completely safe with fish and venison, hence using these as treats. Her problems all kicked off again (severe redness of skin, blistering, extreme agitation etc. etc) causing her great discomfort and costing me a great deal in vets bills as we tried to work out what has cause these new problems. I have now just seen from the ingredients on these trusted, apparently venison sausages that they are 20% chicken, 20% beef and only 30% venison. That's akin to advertising a Christmas cake as a block of marzipan because there is a layer of marzipan within it.I cannot express (politely) how upset I am with the distress Maltby's have caused my dog when I trusted them. How can they legally (or ethically and morally) claim that these are venison sausages when they are in fact 70% other meat and products?Very distressed dog, far emptier bank account, severely p***** off human!
