TAMU Histology
If you need to purchase this for histology, go ahead and buy it. Study it for fun too, it doesn't hurt to be ahead of your peers and more knowledgeable in the subject even if you don't use it all in class. Translates to other science courses as well.

Excellent organization, diagrams, and large vivid photos help with learning histology
Wow, this is an excellent book. The level of detail is spot-on, the diagrams are some of the best I've seen, and the photographs are vivid, clear, and large enough to appreciate minor details. This was a great book for my coursework and a nice review resource for STEP 1 preparation.

Great book for the price I paid but not what I expected
I purchased this used for $18. For the price, it is an excellent book. I'm a laboratory technician working in research and trying to work in histology in mice. The information here, although human, still has importance for what I am working with, even if it isn't exactly the same organism. I was under the impression, though, that there would be more information about techniques and staining, which there is not. So I am pleased with the book for the price, but I am still on a hunt for something that discusses chemical reactions of stains and troubleshooting timing when something goes awry.

This is an excellent Histology textbook, a must-have for every Histology lecturer but also clear enough to be enjoyed by anyone interested in learning about cells, organelles, tissues and organs.

Not reselling this textbook!
Pages feel quality and lots of great pictures in good color. I find it lays out the material nicely.

Meh.
This is a decent read as far as Histology goes, although I'm not thoroughly impressed with the organization. The chapters lack detail on plenty of important aspects and terms, and the index is a nightmare to navigate or find key terms in.

A little hard to understand at points, and it is definitely made for more advanced studies, but I enjoy how it gives practical uses for the information. Not the best Histology atlas either, it feels as if it is made to be more of a textbook with a separate Histology atlas.
