Scary powerful for a greenie, and extremely bright as green lasers are much more sensitive to the human eye. Eye protection is a must. !!Protective goggles for a green laser are red, if they or any other color do not use them!!

The danger level here is… honestly off the chartsIn the event that anyone handles this legally, this would need to be strapped onto a table in a sealed room with hours of lazer safety training to use. The crappy “safety goggles” WILL NOT PROTECT YOU, as real lazer safety equipment will cost more than the lazer itself. One tiny reflection and its lights out forever.

This is one crazy bright laser that can do permanent damage to your eyes. I've already shot it more than a mile and the dot (well, pretty big dot at that point) was still amazingly bright. This thing is so strong that a stray reflection can fry your eye - thankfully it includes a pair of laser safety glasses. Of course the downside to the glasses is that the beam is invisible when wearing them.If you have a controller, the output power of the laser can be controlled - if you use the included power supply it's always at 100% power. Duty cycle is 2 hours on/one hour off. There's a built-in fan, and it's needed. It gets warm pretty fast.

I was a little slow writing this because it did not come with any way to power it up with the cables provided, or I didn't get them all. It appears to be made to use in an engraver, except this laser isn't an engraving laser. It ends up being more useful in a science lab.It is GREAT for a science project for your kid (or you) if you want to show the effects of laser light and have a BRIGHT, TIGHT beam.As others have mentioned, green is the most visible color to the human eye by a factor of about 2/1 so these appear even brighter than they are - and 1 watt green is POWERFUL.I have a 1/2 watt laser pointer that is crazy bright at night and during the day, indoors. This is brighter.USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES. One reviewer means well when suggesting red goggles. That isn't enough. GET GOGGLES THAT ARE MADE FOR THIS. Make sure you have laser protection goggles that protect from ~520-535 wavelength light.You can blind yourself (or someone or something) in an instance if you wave this around casually. It should be MOUNTED FIRMLY in an enclosure where it cannot be looked into and, much like a weapon, you should know where the light beam will end up and make sure it cannot blind anyone. IT HAPPENS.WARNINGS ASIDE, this Oxlasers 12V DIY 520nm 1W Focusable Green Laser Module with PWM Control is a very good, very compact, high powered laser that is excellent for laser light research. Easy to set up/install. Working great thus far.

It’s a one watt Laser that can clearly be seen at high noon if turned on. It works well and after I got the correct lens for this particular laser I turned it on and with the glasses on was safe to do so. It’s definitely bright in the dark. Came with everything I needed to set it up and plug it into power. It’s well made and the pieces and parts fit well together and seams and gaps were consistent throughout the laser. Instructions for its use were good enough and it came with warnings as well as it’s a very powerful laser and needs to be used carefully. Four Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!
