I first want to state I ordered the Zebra Isopods as well as the 35 mixed wood louse. All of which shipped together in a safe coco fiber(?) Filled cup with proper air holes in a well fit styrofoam package. 100% of the Isopods are live and we'll upon receipt. No visible injuries, sluggishness, or mites.I next want to state that I was very surprised to find the pricing that Pocket Pets provided. You'll often find isopods listed at 50+$ for species like Zebra so these being listed at just under 20$ was an amazing find!Finally I want to say thank you to Pocket Pets for what they do. Encouraging and providing for young lovers of all varieties of bugs, isopods, ants, spiders and more, is so very important, and as someone just starting to get into it myself at the age of 28 I can only wish that I had someone to support that love I had in my early years so I could have started sooner.Also, the pocket habitat is a genius idea for durable species like isopods.

We have 15 species in our mixed colony and we have ordered at least 8 or 9 of our various species from this supplier. We have been very pleased every single time. The price is fair and they have all arrived alive and healthy every time. (Seriously, I have not found a single dead isopod, which is more than any reasonable person would expect for multiple deliveries of live insects at various times of year and temperature. I don’t know what their secret is, but it works!) Isopods have been a wonderful low maintenance hobby for our mildly autistic sons (ages 3 and 6). A mixed colony offers so many opportunities to discuss and learn about responsibility, social interaction, kindness and caring for others. We also use it as a way to discuss differences in outer appearance even though the isopods are basically all the same on the inside. We talk about how even though they look different and have different personalities, they all get along in their cooperative community. (They really do have different personalities- some species are very assertive while others are very shy.) The background story and personal experience that the seller shared on the site was inspirational and ultimately that was what convinced me to try isopods as a hobby for my sons. As it turns out, I have just as much fun with it as they do!

Literally just got done unpacking them. Ive never owned isopods (rollie pollies ;) before and I am using them as a cleanup crew for my leopard gecko's tank. They are beautiful and it's truly amazing that I can use the internet to buy such an interesting animal. Especially one from halfway around the world.They arrived in perfect health, and I might add the packaging Pocket Pets uses is very impressive. I dont see the elements causing much issue when sending them.These creatures can also be very giftable to someone who finds these animals practical and interesting. I myself am both.Will order again if the need arises, thank you Pocket Pets!!

I ordered these in December and they arrived exceptionally packaged! The styrofoam was a bit of a mess (it had been well-sealed to protect the roly polys from the weather), but I carefully cut and removed each layer with a butter knife and when I removed the final layer, they were clearly alive and moving around. Thank you so much! An excellent transaction, and I will definitely purchase from you again!
