Great buy
We were looking for an easy to use blood pressure monitor that automatically takes reliable readings of the systolic and diastolic blood pressure as well as the BPM.After comparing the available options we landed on the Renpho Digital Blood Pressure Monitor. We already own a renpho digital scale since a few years and have thus far a very positive experience with the renpho scale. The scale has operated flawlessly which gave us the confidence to also choose for the Renpho Digital Blood Pressure Monitor. When the blood pressure meter was delivered to our house it took less than 5 minutes to get it up and running. The easy steps were all explained in the comprehensive instruction booklet that also provides the necessary information on blood pressure and its importance for your health. The pictures show the box and the content of the box.Only a few steps had to be completed to get up and running with the Renpho Digital Blood Pressure Monitor. First step is to remove it from the box, open the compartment ant that back and put in the four AAA batteries. Next step is to set the time and date on the monitor. This just takes a few easy pushes of a button. Putting time and date in allows the Blood Pressure Monitor to record the actual readings with the correct time-stamp so that you have a good history and can see trends over time. Instead of battery power you can also use the USB cable that comes with the unit to connect it to any normal USB phone charger to power the unit. The digital monitor has a proprietary socket, so unfortunately you will have to use the cable provided with the unit. A bit of a shame that Renpho did not opt for an industry standard micro USB or USB-C socket as that would allow you to use a normal cable. Having the option to power the unit with a USB cable is convenient in case the batteries are dead and you have run out of fresh batteries. But in practice it just worked for us much easier to operate the unit on battery power as you can then move it easily around to where you need it. The 4 AAA batteries that provide the power to operate the monitor if you do not provide it with USB power come with the unit. The Renpho monitor comes with a large cuff that will fit for almost anybody and that can be adjusted in size by the Velcro strips that are sown onto the cuff. The size of the cuff is actually better than some of the competitors as previously we had to buy a larger cuff separately for a monitor that we bought for my wife’s mother as the cuff that was provided with it was to small to fit on her arm. That was a substantial addition to the cost that you avoid with the Renpho digital blood pressure monitor. The unit comes with a nice black storage pouch with a carrying handle. The pouch closes simply with a zip. The Pouch easily holds the monitor itself and the cuff with the flexible air hose. Finally the box that the blood pressure monitor arrived in also contained an instruction manual and a warranty registration card. The blood pressure monitor is designed to use for two people, who each can have their readings recorded in a separate history memory function on the unit, which works well for us. Each of us can read out our own history on the large digital read out. The user button allows you to switch between the two users with a simple push of a button. In order to take a pressure reading the first step is to put the cuff around the arm, tighten the Velcro and then connect the cuff’s flexible air hose to the unit by plugging its connector into the air socket on the side of the digital blood pressure monitor. Then simply press the start stop button. No need to switch on the unit as that is all done by pushing the start button. The cuff is than fully automatically pumped up and once the max pressure is reached it automatically slowly releases the air pressure in the cuff. The resulting pressure and heart beats are then shown on the large digital LCD screen on the monitor. So one push on the start stop button is all that is needed, cannot be simpler. The unit actually works without making much noise. The digital blood pressure monitor turns off itself when not in use for 60 seconds or so.A nice feature is that a simple traffic light indicator is provided on the right side of the LCD screen in addition to the pressures in numbers so that you get an immediate confirmation of the status of your blood pressure. Another feature that is also available is voice broadcast, but we preferred to use the unit in the silent mode. The history of each of the users is simply called up with the memory button. The voice read out and broadcast feature combined with the large well marked buttons and the very large read out on the LCD screen with the measured systolic and diastolic blood pressure values makes that the unit also works for people who struggle without reading glasses. The unit is fairly small, together with the cuff it measures about 16x10X8 cm when stored in the pouch that comes with the unit. That makes that it also is easy to take with when traveling too.The unit and the cuff are robustly made and the overall design works well and is simple. The Instructions in the booklet are clear and simple too and instructions are provided in English German French, Italian and Spanish. Unfortunately the voice broadcast only seems to read out in English. So we are very pleased with our new Renpho Blood Pressure Monitor and are looking forward to using it for a long time. It is very comforting to be able to easily monitor this vital statistic in the comfort of your own home.

Excellent value, accurate, reassuring and simple to use
Renpho blood pressure monitor - excellent valueThis is a professional looking piece of kit which comes nicely stored in neat durable looking zipped black pouch with little carry handle. It measures 26cm x 10cm x 6cm or 6 inches x 4 inches x 2.5 inches approx. Very neat. I have taken my blood pressure and it is a close enough match for having had it taken recently by a medical professional. I like the reassurance of having this to hand particularly for an elderly relative. The pouch contains the display, left arm cuff and mains supply, batteries and instruction bookletThe instruction booklet is detailed yet clear and easy to follow. Shows how to set up date and time display as readings are stored. It explains on how to correctly take blood pressure and has a chart showing optimum blood pressure and standard blood pressure classifications which is useful. It also briefly explains systolic and diastolic pressure. The monitor has a dual power supply either usb lead which is supplied or battery operated. A nice touch is the monitor needs 4 x AAA batteries and these are supplied. The cuff is adult large and suitable for 22 – 44cm. What I really like about the cuff is it is easy to put on oneself as there is it remains a large loop which is tightened on arm and velcroed and holds its shape well through through for popping on one handed. Also it is would suit a range of arm sizes as it is a generous lengthThe monitor has a large blue backlit display. This is super clear to read. An added bonus is the device talks you through “starting measurement – remains still and quiet…”blood pressure results are read out(this can be switched off if required). It is a push of a buttonThe device stores readings for two people and this is simply toggled between with a button. It will keep 120 readings and time and date stamps them.Whilst it goes without saying a medical professional should be consulted for any health concerns this is a very useful piece of equipment in particular those who cannot take their blood pressure on a regular basis in the current covid climate at the GPs. This little device will also will flag irregular heatbeat and shows pulse.Personally I really like Renpho it is great value for money I have the weighing scales which have an app on my phone is great for tracking BMI, weight, viscaral fat, body water and more through my phone and I have had the scales for a couple for years at least and am impressed by the value for money and accuracy as I have had access to much higher tech scales which have given the same reading. I think the scales have really motivated me to lose and maintain weigh loss.Blood pressure monitor is excellent value, accurate, reassuring and simple to use.
