EzyDogDFD X2 Dog Life Jacket - Adjustable Swimming Life Vest with Continuous Neck Flotation, Reflective Trim, & Grab Handle (Small, Red)

I like the way this life jacket fit my dog. She is a 60 pound lab with a barrell chest, and it is hard to fit anything that goes over her chest. This life jacket leaves her chest front legs open and allows her the freedom to move easily in the water. This past weekend was her first time in the Kayak. Day 2 we hit a submerged tree and flipped the kayak, dumping my husband, me, and our dog in the middle of a river of about 50 degrees. The life jacket kept her afloat and she quickly swam to the bank. I was impressed by her survival instincts, the freedom she had to swim easily to shore, and sturdiness of the life jacket. It did it's job and she wore it comfortably for 2 days.

So far I love this life jacket! I feel like he has a lot of range of motion through the front end and although it’s probably a little short for him it gives him ample support in the water!

The media could not be loaded.  I tried this jacket on my dog Shadow at a dog pool and it fit him perfectly, so I decided to invest in one for him. He's learning how to swim and I think it helps give him confidence. It fits great and stays close to his body in the water. It's also very nonrestrictive-he has never expressed any discomfort since the moment it was put on, and he's able to run around, jump, go to the bathroom etc. The handle is great and sturdy and can easily withstand his weight. I think we'll have this for a long time!For size reference he is 22 inches at the shoulder, 55 lbs, neck 18 inches, chest 26 inches. Leggy and on the slender side. He fits right in the middle of the measurements for the medium. The straps are tightened up pretty far, but this is definitely the right size for him.

My wife and I take our two Australian Shepherds to the Beach a few times a month at a place called Ilwaco in the south western corner of Washington State. At first, I just purchased the small EzyDog DFD for the female, she is 40 pounds. It fits her well and she tolerates it. I have been surf fishing with Camelia several times, she listens extremely well, and I trust her in the water.After a few fishing trips to the beach, my wife indicated that she wanted to go with Camelia and I, and bring Brewster, our 60 pound male Aussie. He does not listen very well, and has very little sense of self preservation, so I knew he needed an EzyDog floatation device. At first he did not like it, but when we got to the beach and he was jumping in the waves, he forgot all about the floatation harness.I shopped around for several dog floatation devices, I went to the Sportsman's Warehouse, PetSmart, etc.. The reason I chose the EzyDog DFD is because of the way it fits on the dog. Even if Brewster gets rolled in the surf, the DFD rights him and his head is above water. The foam flotation material goes under the dog's neck and straps at the shoulders, along with two other straps that attach around the belly. The other products I looked at did not have the same design as the EzyDog.It is a pricey product, but i believe in this case, you get what you pay for. Dogs in the surf, happy wife, fishing, set yourself up for a great day and experience at the beach with EzyDog Dog Floatation Device.As a side note: I have been in and around the oceanfront since I was a small child. I can read the surf, identify rip currents and sand bars instinctually. Be extremely careful at the beach. If you have a hesitancy about the conditions, don't go into the ocean past your knees. Tidal action, wind, and swell can sneak up on you in an instant, knock you down and ruin your day. Use a long 25 foot retractable lead on your best friend in case you need to pull the dog out of the water in a hurry.Get your dog, or dogs an EzyDog Dog Flotation Device and worry less.

This is so streamline. Lightweight and comfy for my girl Bella....she always tries to roll out of her life vest...hates the big bulky version...but with the ezdog she is happy and comfy and so at ease in the water... she happy with the purchase...keeps.her afloat and allows freedom of movement... recommended for anyone who wants a water happy dog to be safe and comfy in the water.

The XL fit my 160LB male. Easy to put on.

Best features are lightweight, high on the shoulders for minimal to no impact on mobility. Not the cheapest item on the market but absolutely brilliant design and well worth the extra money. When I'm alone with her at the pond, I don't have to worry about her tiring out swimming across it or if she's playing hard and running with a pack of larger pups. Med fit my 55lb lab-pit mix perfectly.

Ignore other reviews. I bought two other life jackets, I had to send them back immediately as the sizing was off. I did measure my dog well all three times. I have n English silver lab (58lbs) nd she is not tall. She is swimmer and I take her in a river with currents. After the river she loves playing ball, and she runs in this (without it twisting,... or being too tight) I try to take it off her, but she is off ;). It seems she ccn both swim just fine and run in this well, although I do try to take it off her ... this dog life vest is a perfect fit. Other vests run too small.I am glad I spent more money. This was the best

Mi perro pesa 40kg, su talla es la L. Le quedó perfecto. Es cómodo de poner, de ajustar y cómodo para él porque no limitaba sus movimientos. Tiene buena flotabilidad. Al salir en la canoa, como era su primera vez, se lanzó de la canoa al agua, y cogiéndolo por el asa del chaleco le pudimos subir nuevamente a la barca sin problemas. Estoy contenta con la compra y creo que es imprescindible equipar al perro cuando se realizan actividades acuáticas por su seguridad.

No ofrece gran flotabilidad, pero si sirve de refuerzo para perros que, como el mío, no se atreven (atrevía) a nadar. Es tan cómodo que puede jugar y correr por la playa como si no llevase nada, lo que me permitió ir poco a poco adentrándome en el agua hasta que nadase por su propio pie.Es también muy cómodo y fácil de poner y quitar y el asa te permite levantar al perro sin molestias. Lleva además una tira para colocar una luz para localizarlo rápidamente, lo que me sirve de gran ayuda para cuando empecemos a navegar y le ponga una luz estroboscópica que se active con el agua.
