Yikes! Getting signed really decreases Hunting's quality
To preface: this novel was much better than its predecessor, the backdoor pilot.Like many indie authors, who gain a large following from quirky series, the quality significantly drops once they're signed with a publisher. This has definitely happened to Hunting. Pucked was like a fully formed human. It had several acts and drew on the reader's emotions. AFfaF, on the other hand, is the equivalent of a 20 week fetus or an adult forearm. The buildup takes forever, and by the time you finally reach the actual story, the novel is over. She used to be a one click for me, but I may have to rethink that if the quality doesn't pick back up

Taming The Jerk
Another incredible couple to love! A fun, sexy read with a hot, moody NHL hockey player and a sassy, snarky woman who will make him work for it. Bishop may be a bit of a jerk, but you’ll fall in love with him anyway. When the worst day of your life turns out to be the best thing to ever happen. Well, it might take some time to come to that realization, but it will be worth the wait.Stevie is celebrating a birthday and no better way to do that than to surprise her boyfriend by arriving early. It didn’t quite go the way she planned. Now with an ex-boyfriend and no place to go, her brother lets her stay at the penthouse his team gives him for the season. And just when things can’t get worse, she meets Bishop. He’s the jerk that lives across the hall. Let the battle of wills begin. All Stevie has ever wanted was to make her own way in life. She doesn’t want to be riding her famous hockey player brother’s coattails or have anyone use her because of her connections. So when an opportunity arises to get ahead, she’s ready to take it, even if it means getting close to the jerk living across the hall.Bishop has suffered a serious injury during a game. Stevie has the necessary skills to hasten his recovery. Both benefit from the agreement. He’ll help her get experience with a professional athlete and she’ll help him get back on the ice faster. It’s the best idea ever. They just need to keep it professional. An enemies-to-friends-to-lovers rom com with so much witty banter and a slow burn that will sizzle. This author always bring characters that make me smile and fall in love. The women are independent, strong and take no crap. The men are sweet for their women and go all in. I absolutely loved this couple. This series gets better with every release. You can’t help but love an athletically built man who walks around in his sexy underwear all the time. We should all be so lucky.

Audible Review
Audible ReviewOverall 3 out of 5 starsPerformance 4 out of 5 starsStory 3 out of 5 starsDisappointedThis is hard for me to say, because I'm a huge fan of Helena Hunting's, but this book was a bit of a disappointment. If it had only been about Stevie and Bishop, I would have loved it. I loved their interactions and the slow burn of their relationship. It started a little rocky, thanks to Bishop and the way he jumped to conclusions, but then they got to know each other and it became fun and entertaining. I got a kick out of Bishop and his underwear- you can always count on Ms. Hunting for some silliness!Unfortunately the actions of some of the secondary characters overshadowed the main couple for me and really tainted my enjoyment of this one. I don't like when a character's persona changes completely from one book to the next, and that's what I feel like happened with Rook, the hero from A Lie for a Lie and Stevie's older brother. I really liked him in his book, but honestly, I couldn't stand him in this one. As Stevie said, he likes to make everything about him, and he definitely did. He slightly redeemed himself at the end, but not enough for my liking. Even Alex, who I adore, seemed like a different person in this book.It almost got to the point where I was going to call this a dnf, but I only had a little over an hour left so I kept at it. I'm glad I stuck it out, but this one sadly wasn't a winner for me.The narration was a plus and helped keep me invested in the story. Erin did a great job portraying the different aspects of Stevie's personality,-her feistiness, her frustrations, her vulnerabilities. Zachary could read the phone book and I'd love it.

A hilarious (and hot) addition to the series
So, I loved it. Possibly even more than A Lie For A Lie, because I really, really love a grumpy OMC. Bishop is that perfect blend of grumpy-ass and awkward loner. Meanwhile, Stevie (RJ's sister from A Lie For A Lie) has just the right balance of sass and vulnerability. The banter between them was exceptional, and the build-up of heat... Ridiculously HOT! But I particularly enjoyed the vulnerable moments between them.We of course get some classic Violet (from 'Pucked') moments, and I was simultaneously howling laughing and swooning at the confrontation between RJ and Bishop.Cannot recommend this series enough!Overall Rating: ❤❤❤❤❤Heat Rating: 🔥🔥🔥🔥Emotional Rating: 😂😂😢💓💓

5 Hot Hockey filled stars!
Yet another fantastic read by Helena Hunting! She never fails to write a book that not only keeps you hooked into the story but gives you characters that make you laugh swoon and feel everything they are going through. This time we get Seattle hockey player Bishop (or Shippy if you wanna rile him up) story and his struggle to find his place on his new team. When hes woken one night with a disturbance in the hallway outside his house we can say hes a tad grumpy bringing out his worse side to the hot mess that Stevie.Stevie is strong talented and struggling to find her place as herself not just as little sister to hit hockey player Rook.Cue a fantastic journey of banter..friendship.. cute work out gear and hilarious boxers!Didnt want to put this book down until I finished reading!

Witty and entertaining.
Stevie and Bishop have an extremely awkward first meeting, which leads to a lot of assumptions. When Bishop is injured, Stevie offers to help him with his physiotherapy for experience and a letter of referral.Stevie’s brother, RJ, is Bishops team captain and the two do not have an easy working relationship. This of course leads to a lot of testosterone infused moments.Stevie’s ex is forever in the background with all his sleazy moments to add a bit discontent.Loved how they learnt to understand each other and the positive way in which they used that knowledge to help each other be ‘better’ versions of themselves.

One good turn!
I totally shipped this read! Stevie and Bishop's relationship starts off as hostilities when Stevie arrives at her brothers apartment and accidentally wakes the neighbour! It's not until Bishop has an accident on the ice that they start to interact when Stevie helps Bishop with his rehab. The snark between them only hides an attraction that grows as they spend time together! Throw in an idiot ex and the gate relationship Bishop has with Stevie' s brother and you get an addictive read with characters you love!

A Favour for a Favor (All In) by Helena Hunting.
An extremely hilariously funny romantic comedy, which has you laughing from beginning to end. IsThe two mains characters, being Stevie and Bishop, both woven around the Pro. Ice Hockey team in Seatle and the antics are so rip roaringly funny that you will need plenty of tissues to wipe away the tears of laughter, so you can continue to read on. I recommend you read this book if you want to lift your spirits and capture romance in it's most humerous form.
