Old Cavendish Fruitcake - 16 oz

Very tasty, but very different type of fruit cake. Batter was not too sweet which I found refreshing. No candied fruit, but apricots mixed with nuts. Different and quite delicious. Would recommend and I will order again!

I wanted to enhance our holidays by having a "throwback" snack. Most fruit cakes have citron which makes them nearly inedible in my opinion. This one does not. It is sooo yummy that I wished I had bought more. It is moist and flavorful. Can't wait until next year!

The cake was 2" wide & 1.5" deep. The rasins or currents were tiny. Flavor ok but I wouldn't order this product again it was to dry & lacked full flavor

this cake was delicious and I would buy more but for the size and the cost of shipment it was a little expensive. I think I will just bake my own for now on it will be much cheaper.

It was delicious. Moist and flavorful, the fruitcake was very pleasure on the palate.

Although it tasted ok, it was dry and had fewer nuts than I would have liked.

This fruitcake made a believer out of me! Never let me down over the years and in my opinion, leaves most others in the dust, or aroma (truth be told)! If you're a cake connoisseur, you know handmade beats processed everytime and this one from Vermont, is rich with nuts and fruits, soaked in fine liqueur. Went throught this (16oz.) in a week.If you never tried or liked fruitcake, then give this one a try. Due to the ingredients, this cake is small...16oz It won't last long so you might want to consider the larger 2 to 3 pound instead. You can freeze it and savor it slice by slice.
