Our Brondell Circle Reverse-Osmosis (RO) water filtration system, as much as we love it, required us to change filters every 6 months, which made little sense based on our consumption. This handy TDS device helps us periodically scan filtered water to help us change the filters of our RO system exactly when we need to, saving us a lot of money! In such scenarios, the device helps answer several questions related to filtration systems, specifically providing the ability to estimate filter changes based on tap water quality and not on generalized manufacturer recommendations. We're lucky to have already great quality water out of the faucets, which explains why the filters of our RO system lasted significantly longer. The device reads very quickly and a random sampling of water from various parts of the house showed consistency. I also liked the decent quality case it came in, so I can store it safely in my toolbox with my other gadgets. I can see why water filtration system manufacturers would never include this with their equipment because they'd lose a large chunk of unnecessary and expensive filter purchases! Very happy with this purchase.

This tester is not 100% accurate like the professional grade ones but it does the job for me. It gives me close enough info about the quality of my water. Allows me to monitor any changes. Price is great!

My EC pen of the older versions of this style finally died after I didn't turn it on for a few months. This one has been accurate within 100ppm's of the old style before it quit using the same recipe. Been using it over a month with no problems. A dunk in RO filtered water and a few drops of storage solution in the cap before putting it away and it reads the same as the first day.

I recently had granite installed and needed our RO system reinstalled, there was a question as to whether or not the tank for the RO was working. Plumber suggested buying a TDS water tester, it definitely works , my reading went from 382 for the water before being filtered down to 20 after filtration. I also should mention that I am on a well. VERY VERY pleased with my purchase

Very easy to use straight out the box. My kitchen sink cold water measured 112...the hot water 156. I feel relieved it wasn't higher. Also, my Nature's promise spring water was 56. Shower water was 143 with a filter. While tub water was 155. Disappointed because my shower filter isn't doing much.

I’ll be honest, I have no way of telling how accurate this is. But I did test it out on several water sources in my home - tap, refrigerator filtered and bottled, and the results were in line with what I would expect. Very useful tool to have around to test the effectiveness of various types of filters (my refrigerator filtered water was disappointing), and cheap!

This product was very simple to use out of the box. Pull of the cap, turn on, wait about 10 seconds, dip in the applicator in the cup of water, wait about 30 seconds to be sure. Then see what your final numbers are. Worked on the first go and have tested different waters about 20 times today. Still working

I needed a TDS meter to check purity of my newly installed filtered water. Had I not purchased this product, I would not have known that the water was not properly being filtered; one of the tubes was not connected correctly. After fixing the problem the meter showed green light with low TDS reading. I can now drink water with peace in mind.
