Beard Head Bushy Duke Beard Beanie - Original Handmade Knit Hat and Removable Beard

I bought this to compliment a Halloween costume I was creating, and it is perfect. The fiber of the beard is soft, yet as I expected is a bit itchy on the face - that's not a complaint, just a comment. I will hand wash the beard and see if that helps at all. Brilliant design with the Velcro attachment, and the knit cap is very high quality.

Adorable product. Seems well made too. Only complaint is the Velcro is thick, creating a bulge near the ear where it attaches. It is fairly large. Be aware it will not fit a smaller head.

I used the hat/beard as a Halloween Costume. With a camouflage jacket, brown cargo pants and black boots, I went to 4 costume parties and won two as a Duck Dynasty character. I brushed grey paint into the beard to give it a more real look and less reddish color. No one recognized me until I started to speak. Great job. Thanks.

I bought this hat for my husband with a black beard and it was such a resounding success that I bought another hat with a red beard for a friend. The photo ops alone are worth it, and it's definitely a conversation piece that will make it easy for you to meet all kinds of people, if you are so inclined. Both my husband and my friend also reported that the beard piece is unexpectedly good at keeping your face warm.The quality of both the hat itself and the beard attachment is excellent but I did take off one star because the hat is a little tight. It does fit normal head sizes but if you have anything longer than a buzz cut it may give you a case of "hat hair" e.g. flattened, stuck-to-the-head hair. If it were a little more generously cut I would definitely get one for myself and become a Beard Lady!
