LEE PRECISION, PaceSetter 3-Die Set.224 Valkyrie

If you're buying these dies for a Valkyrie then buyer beware! You'd better have a bolt gun or your AR had better have a pretty loose chamber! After using these dies I had to contact Lee so they could explain to me why their full length sizing die wouldn't bring brass back to factory spec. Their packaging was not labeled as SB (small base) and it was apparently a bad assumption on my part that they were (go figure, a cartridge designed for the AR 15 platform you'd think it would stand to reason!). Now they want my dies along with a hand full of my brass so they can make it work...This was my first experience with the folks of Lee "Precision" and it will be my last. Their seating die deformes the bullet too much so I already had a Hornady seater on the way. I just fixed the order to be a full set and I'll be throwing the Lee in the trash. I'd just about be willing to bet that Hornady is smart enough to get me a set of Valkyrie dies that will get cartridges into the chamber of my AR.I'm usually not one to complain about a $30 purchase gone wrong however, when you look at the whole picture of: time wasted, expensive projectiles damaged from pulling and, a wasted range fee, it's a headache for sure!

Have always had good experiences with Lee dies. The only thing I don't care for is the new knurled locking ring. It's really hard on my old fingers. Liked the old style better. Other than that, no complaints. Will still buy them if need another caliber to load for.

Do not purchase if you need for 284 winchester will not work get ahold of lee precision they will point you to the correct one
