SeikoMen Analog Automatic Watch SRPE53K1

A Truly Beautiful Watch
A beautiful watch, all aspects of the face are very clear, and I love the fact that the hand that marks off the seconds going by moves as a sweeping motion. Very quiet in operation, but being an automatic I suppose I'll have to stop walking around with my hands in my pockets! (though luckily for me you can wind it like an ordinary manual watch). The best looking watch I've ever worn.

Better than I expected
I have had 2 Seiko watches previously which I really liked and this model did not disappoint. It looks great and the dark blue face appears to change colour slightly in different lighting conditions. What I really like is the movement, especially the fact that the second hand “sweeps” in a continuous movement, rather than jerking second by second. This is a feature normally found in more expensive watches like Rolex or Omega. A bonus as far as I am concerned. The stainless steel strap is comfortable and fits perfectly with a secure clasp. It does permit slight adjustment on the clasp itself, rather than removing links. All in all a great purchase at the price available on Amazon.I have only owned this watch for a short time, so cannot really comment on the accuracy of the time-keeping, but if previous Seiko watches are to go by this will be very accurate. Same goes for scratch resistance and water resistance.

Classy looking watch
Keeps great time considering it’s an automatic. Usual Seiko quality. Looks more expensive than the price paid. Very happy with this purchase.

A Good Every Day Watch ⌚
I liked this as soon as I spotted it, originally I had seen it on the Blue Nylon Strap SRPE63K1 and tried it on in a store on the high street (England £230), I eventually decided to buy it and went for the Blue with a bracelet, but all the colours I saw in store looked great, especially the grey.Good points: Eye catching style, great variety of colours, Seiko brand, female end links on the bracelet and you can now pick one up under £200.Bad points: The bracelet feels cheap and mine actually squeaks when moved, this squeak can be easily sorted I'm told. I'm not a fan of the cheaper Seiko clasps. The packaging is very cheap looking, and the worst box I've ever received with a watch. Not all Seikos are made in Japan...When I sized it I noticed there was only 1 micro adjustment available. I have sized it easily, standard push pins. You can buy a watch kit very cheaply and there are YouTube videos showing you how to adjust a bracelet if you never have. There were a few Orients I had considered trying as a brand, but kept coming back to this watch as it just did it for me. I'm glad I got it, and at the price point it's a good looking solid watch. This watch could be worn for different occasions and I feel it covers casual/smart casual very well. If you only want to buy one watch to wear daily this would be a good choice, at a fair price.Nice clean dial, great colours, I like the new Seiko 5 logo more than the old one. Oversized crown actually looks good, reliable proven movement, hand winding, if you are a fan of the Seiko 5 style then this watch will appeal.I like the ease of this not being a screwdown crown as it is quicker to adjust the time/date. For the purpose I chose this watch it does the job. I tend to prefer a watch without a large day/date these days, but the overall look of the watch is growing on me.Ultimately it's all about style, if you like the look of the watch then buy it, there is nothing terrible about this watch. A change of strap might add more appeal to you, it would certainly look great on a mix of straps.I'll be happily wearing this for some time as a standard go to watch to add variety to my other watches.Update...I've worn the watch every day for over a week and kept it on the bracelet. No problems, the clasp is still large for me and I'm not a fan, but it is very secure and easy to use. However it needs more micro adjustments to ensure a perfect fit. The female end links on the bracelet are a bonus, and certainly should be a consideration when buying a watch if you have a slimmer wrist.I've seen people comment negatively about the automatic movement losing/gaining a few seconds a day. They really should buy a Quartz (battery operated) watch for ease of use and accuracy. Part of the appeal of an Automatic Watch is adjusting the time/date once in the while, and enjoying a mechanical watch.YouTube reviews of this watch are all very favourable. As a general watch buying tip I'd recommend knowing your watch sizes. Check the face size (mm) and lug to lug size, measure your wrist, get a feel for what looks/feels good to you and order a watch with those dimensions or within a suitable size range.*One year review.I'm now letting this go, I have bought an Alpinist to replace this, which is better all round, but priced significantly higher (Seiko prices are getting a little strong).I'd stand by my review on this watch, and say it's great value (now under £200 new) and a nice style for a casual watch. Definitely one to consider in this price range.

Handsome cheap watch
Exactly what I expected. Very handsome watch for little money with an air of vintage. The dial is excellent in different light, see photo.I have no issues with the bracelet.

Nice watch
Clear face, easy to see hands and hour markings. Keeps good time. Bracelet links easy to take out to reduce the size to my wrist using one of the cheap kits you can buy on the web. Very happy with watch.

Great watch
Got this watch to replace my 12 year old Seiko divers watch which had started to fail. This new watch is also automatic and waterproof has great luminosity and is smaller and lighter in weight which is an advantage. I am really pleased with it.
