Good Quality for the cost

I liked it's ease of installation. It didn't bind going into it's housing. It is for a furnace mounted humidifier and is called a water panel evaporative filter. I don't understand why it's called a filter. It does look like a coarse filter, like one that could be used on an outdoor air conditioner condenser to filter out relatively large debris such as leaves and grass clippings, but this water panel does no actual air filtering, it just has water distributed over it's mesh type media to be evaporated by warm furnace air to put moisture in the discharged air into the rooms. Unless.....the ceramic coating on the media mesh traps minerals and bacteria in the water, preventing them from being blown into the air ducts in the building. I had guessed that the ceramic coating was just to somehow spread the water out over the media to provide more evaporation.

Filter fits perfectly. Easy to replace on an Aprilaire series 500 humidifier. Buying a two pack was more economical than buying the generic no name filters. Since it is an oem filter it is the same quality as the original one I used. Very happy

I had to send the first one back since once of the sides was crushed. Second one was perfect. It would be a good idea to ship these in a rigid box to avoid damaging a very fragile product.On the other hand, the manufacturing process and the quality control are top notch. The white porous layer is equally applied on the aluminum substrate. The cuts are perfect, clean and true to size.Great product at a good price.
