Does what I need it to do.
It’s a battery. I’ve had Interstates for various vehicles over the years. I wish they made AAs. I expected nothing less from this. But here’s the thing; I have nothing with which to compare it for my given application. My use is not a powerweels, mobility scooter, security system but a shower. All it does (for the moment anyway) is power an inductive load in the form of a small boat bilge diaphragm pump, triggered on by a trawling motor momentary switch in a foot pedal. The heat is propane. The shower does use two D-cells to trigger the spark maintain a simple pcb for the flow sensor.-Still here? There’s a point because, remember, I’ve no frame of reference for this specific use-case for me. & I’m a little high. Ok. Onward!-But that’s the next task for this battery. I intend to add a voltage stepper down to the 3v this board needs, from this Interstate 12v battery. It will run alongside the D-cells for alternative water sources. Garden hose=no need for pump or 12v battery, so, on-board D-cells take over. Using the truck’s on-board potable water tank=12v battery/pump supply without having to add/remove batteries.I digress. I’ve nothing but positive thoughts about this. It’s taken a hit, dropping from a truck bumper’s height to the ground. No biggie. Fully charged a month ago. Still soldiering on with a good charge in use for the shower pump every day since. Haven’t needed to charge since. My next step is to treat it to my solar battery charger/tender/maintainer. That’s another product but it works super well for my truck. When I go camping, I’ll take that with this battery for camp washing up duties. It should behave well with the panel connected.TLDR? Ok. Fine. Here:Good battery. It’s Interstate. Anyone else use it for a non-standard application?

Very pleased w/quality, battery longevity
We purchased 2 of these batteries for a Harmar SL600 Stairlift. We purchased this battery brand because the original batteries were Interstate. They lasted 7 years. Harmar says most batteries will last 1-2 years. Many other compatible brands were $7 less for each battery, but if these last 2-3 times longer, they are well worth it. Harmar advises the stairlift supplier replace the batteries. After replacing them ourselves, we know why. Our SL600 is a 2017 manufactured unit, and there were no instructions in the Owner’s Manual or online as to how to replace the batteries. YouTube had 1 video, but not for our model. Bottom line for replacing the 2 batteries on a 2017 SL600 is this: you need to have hex wrenches, Phillips screwdrivers, flat blade screwdrivers, and you need to remove the seat, footrest, cables, and battery housing to get to the batteries.. Pain in the neck. But since the supplier wanted $350 to replace the batteries, we figured we’d give it a try. It’s about a 20 to 30 minute job if you know what you’re doing. We were clueless so It took us just over an hour to disassemble (and find all the needed tools) and 30 min to reassemble. Supposedly with the new Harmars, battery replacement is much easier. Per our supplier, NO disassembly of seat and footrest required on the new ones, just remove the battery housing. If you’re wondering if we would recommend the Harmar stair lifts, absolutely. Very reliable, No maintenance required, and replacing the 2 batteries was the only problem we had in 7 years.

Only lasted two years?
I bought this in 2021 for our Verizon backup, and today the replace battery light and beeper came on so it only lasted 2 years, when I'm pretty sure the original battery lasted for 4-5. I'm not sure if this is typical for these type of batteries or if there is another brand that will last longer. No issues with install and no problems after install for the two years it did run.

Nice Replacement for Verizon FIOS Battery Backup
Looked for a replacement for the battery backup in my FIOS box that keeps the internet and landline connected online in case of a power failure. This was an exact replacement as far a form factor and terminal connections. While there are many to choose from, Interstate is a brand that I recognize, so went with this one.

Dead after 5 months in UPS; requires replacement. Steer clear. Do NOT buy here.
Good at first but UPS is indicating the batteries need replacement due to "UPS: The battery power is too low to support the load; if power fails, the UPS will be shut down immediately." The load of the UPS has remained the same for several years. I previously had interstate batteries in this unit and did a one-for-one swap. I'll be buying a different brand. I ordered these on August 9, 2023. It's now January 18, 2024 the batteries, while the UPS shows 100% charge, are not properly holding charge in less than half a year. I would expect this behavior out of a 18-24 month old battery but not 5 months old. You can see from the analytics of the NMC3, there is about only 5 minutes available of run time. When the batteries were brand new, the unit sits around 20 minutes of run time.I won't be buying batteries like this from Interstate via Amazon ever again. I'm concerned they are not brand new or used considering the last batteries from Interstate (same model number) lasted more than 24 months.
