Gold-Dachs Hungarian Beard Wax 16ml wax

4.5/5 stars.First off, the positive. Has decent hold and keeps your beard in the shape that you want it. I have a circle beard that is longer on the goatee side, and it keeps it from looking like I was tazed in the beard. That said, don't expect it to be a mustache wax. It isn't. It is a step above thick beard balm in terms of holding power.Secondly, it smells really quite pleasant. It is somewhere in the middle of cigar tobacco and vanilla and a creamsicle. It is sweetish smelling, but not overpowering. I have a strong sense of smell and it does not bother me at all.The negative. Honestly the size to cost ratio is a negative. But only enough to pull half of a star. My beard is not huge, so if you need a lot of product to tame your face bear and you are on a budget, this might not be the choice. However, if you only need a bit of product to tame your face forest, look no further.

I have tried several different beard waxes and this is what I've settled on. I have a short (#3) full beard plus a longish (3") thick goatee. My facial hair is soft but somewhat unruly. A little dab of this rubbed on in the morning is perfect and keeps my beard where I want it. Plus I love the smell, which has hints of tobacco and spice but is not strong. The consistency of the Gold-Dachs wax is what distinguishes it, it's more compliant than most of the others I tried and thus easier to work in.

This was a reorder. I've been using it for 4 years. I find it has a pleasing scent, but this is a medium wax more for grooming a moustache than it is for sculpting.

I have the good fortune of having a beard that consists of 4 different colors. As such, it also has three different textures. In other words, my beard has a personality all its own, and some even say, more than one personality. As such, it is incredibly difficult to manage on a good day even though neatly groomed.Gold-Dachs Hungarian Beard Wax has a nice consistency which does not make my beard greasy and clumpy. I use about enough to cover an index fingernail, spread across both thumbs and first two fingers of both hands and massage into my beard evenly.Using a hand-made Swissco Tortoise Moustache/Boot Comb (see separate review for this item) I can tame the gnarled and unruly parts of my beard forming it into a nice, sculpted work of colorful art. Swissco Tortoise Moustache/Boot Comb also has a beautiful sandalwood fragrance which is just enough to notice without being overwhelming and intrusive to yourself as well as others.My only complaint is the size of this particular product is very small. It being only 16ml, I fear I will going through this product fairly quickly. I would like to see in future, a larger container. Other than that, I would recommend this product to anyone who like to have well tailored beard.K

Wow this was great just over a year ago but it's almost twice as expensive now! What in the heck happened?

Awesome stuff. Reminds me of my great grandfather. He used to smoke a pipe and I'll never forget that smell. This has a tobacco kinda smell. Maybe a little vanilla to it. Not much hold on my wiry beard but it does feel much softer.

Smells great but only good for areas in need of a light hold

This product was only half full, some sort of production issue I think.I'm very disapointed

Bon déjà ... je n' avais pas bien fait attention à la taille de la boîte et ne l'aurais jamais commandée si j'avais vu la contenance ....alors elle chère pour la cire disponible ... mais elle sent très bon et elle est très agréable à porter ..... vu que j'ai une barbe assez volumineuse je vais me ruiner avec cette marque ! Dommage !!
