Thicker than normal mechanical pencil leads but sturdy and long lasting
Good refils for the same brand of drafting pencil. Satisfied with the color and durability.

The very best drawing pencil used with the the best leads.
Mitsubishi graphite pencil lead is just wonderful. The gradation is around a step/half step softer than Faber Or Staedtler. So if you like to quick sketch with an HB an F may suit you better. After using them a few months the colored cap indicators allow you to switch hardness while you are drawing without thinking. HB>black; 2H.dark blue.... I've been using them a few years. I draw a lot. I wanted to keep track of my savings, so I kept all 21 empty refill cases (126 pencils). So much cheaper than wood pencils. No more carving /grinding/ sanding wood pencils.. The tiny sharpeners work the best. Stick in the lead and twist 3 times and you are razor sharp NOT FOR CHILDREN..Pencil leads are made of graphite , wax and chalk these are the sweetest blend ever. You can press one hardness into another with ease.

Favorite 2mm clutch
I have tried a few different brands of clutch pencils. Uni leads are so smooth, you can't go wrong with them. The textured metal grip is so nice! The weight is just perfect! I have noticed a difference in the way it feels in weight and balance, between a new uni full length lead or a shorter lead. Uni leads are longer than most, at about 5 1/8". When the leads are shorter, I miss that extra weight of the longer lead. I really love the feel of this pencil in my hand and the hex barrel and the cap with the wider top for easier grip to remove it if needed. Perfect astetetically as well. All the same except for the easily identifiable differences of cap color and discreet writing that is easy to see also. I like the size of this clip as well. No matter what I am doing, this is the first thing I grab to write with. To me, these are worth the price. I have also purchased colored leads as well. A very satisfying journey. Now, if I could find some Uni colored leads besides red.

Not really red
I love drawing with colored lead as an under drawing. And using a 2mm red lead is one of my favorite ways to draw.My local art supply stores have stopped carrying red lead sadly. So I bought this to try out. Overall, it seems like it has a good texture. The length of the lead is great, I know it will last a while. I think these will be an okay replacement. The downside to this lead is that it's a touch harder and it's a deep red. The color is red orange, verging on orange. Not a true red. I really want more of a darker Crayola red. I added a picture of both leads to show the color difference. As for the value this is for the money it cost: $6 for this many sticks of red lead, is pretty good. Just be aware it's on the orange side of red.

THIS is how you do lead.
Been using Staedtler for years. Notice recently it would drag at times...hard to explain really but different. Anyway made the switch to Uni and I won't use any other lead. This is creamy smooth. Just a dream to work with. A bit more expensive but it's worth every penny!!

Really Nice Product!
I will definitely be buying this lead once my current supply gets low. The lead is buttery smooth on my sketchbook paper and vibrant. It does wear down pretty quick but that isn’t an issue for me. One thing to note is that the color is more of a vermillion than a scarlet red, but it isn’t a major issue.
