Spectrum 26: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art

Again another high quality book about the best in Sci Fi and Fantasy art. I have been buying these for several years and look forward to each new issue. They are a little expensive but well worth collecting. If you are a fan of this subject I would give these books a look.

I am worried about it standing on it's own with my other hard copies of my collection of the Spectrum fantasy art works series of books .What is the definition of hard cover now days ? i was under the assumption that I was buying books like these

As always the Spectrum annual review of Fantasy and Science Fiction art is a very satisfying treat.

Always great. I wish there was a section just for comic book art, but that's more of a personal preference.

I order this every year. It is a beautiful collection of artwork for all the people who are gamers, sci-fi and fantasy fans.It is a must have.

Just to let others know the book arrived in a terrible state. It was packaged incorrectly, the edges and corners were bent excessivly. it ruined several pages of artwork. Buyers beware you might need to return the item and hope to get lucky. The artwork itself is great, a shame it's let down by the packaging.

So much amazing art, it's like having a small gallery in your home. Love it, the print quality is amazing as well!

Ich habe alle Bände von 1 - 26. Nr. 26 gefällt mir besser als mehrere seiner Vorgänger - und die haben mir immerhin so gut gefallen, dass ich weiterhin sammle. Ich suche immer als erstes meine Lieblingskünstler , alle wieder vertreten und mit Werken, die ich noch nicht kannte, dann gehe ich auf Entdeckungsreise. In Spectrum 26 wird noch einiges zu entdecken sein. Gerade die Vielfalt - die natürlich auch Werke einschließt, die mir überhaupt nicht zusagen - finde ich gut. Wenn man immer nur das ansieht, von dem man schon vorher ziemlich sicher weiß, man wird es mögen, stagniert man. Ich bin z.B. kein sonderlicher Fan vom Medium Digital, weil mir das Endergebnis oft viel zu glatt ist. In diesem Band Spectrum habe ich erfreut Werke entdeckt, die als Medium Digital ausweisen und mich trotzdem ansprechen.

Absolutely incredible collection, there’s so much beautiful and intense art here i had to set it down and come back because it’s sensory overload. 110% recommended. There’s everything from realism to comic book art and everything in between. It was recommended in a miniature painting course as a good source of inspiration and it very much is inspiring. The best part is that the art is actually art. There is not some try hard Jackson Pollock or Andy Warhol wannabes but REAL artists who make emotionally captivating images.
