Used in MA :)
Works great, worth cutting out some wax paper "disks" to put on end ends of the dowels though I had no issues without it. Filled it, packed it in, tightened and left for 18 or so hours. Pre-heated my oven to 300°f, baked for 5 mins, tightened again. Into the freezer, hour or so. Done. Other ways to do it but it worked very well for me.

must keep oiled
A nice little press, far small than I had anticipated. It will press probably 4 grams at once, or more. Produces tight little pucks of kief. You can also heat low temps for extended periods without it damaging the press, BUT it is aluminum so it heats up extremely quick and will destroy your product if you let it.the threads are close together, meaning that you can damage them easily if you don't twist evenly, and also it is real easy to cross-thread. It will leave some shavings if you don't do it correctly, and possibly ruin your press and product. just be careful when you tighten it.

Very reliable.
It's a fantastically well machined little gizmo. If you want to get the most out of it, add your pollen and tighten. Preheat your oven to 300 degrees and then put the press in the oven for about five minutes. Remove the pollen press from the oven with oven mitts and let it cool for a bit. Open the press and you have a gorgeous little puck at your disposal. Make sure to sandwich the keif between two pieces of parchment paper to prevent the puck from adhering to the cylinders.

Great buy!
Did exactly what it is supposed to do. This is the first time I've used any press and my product came out perfect! Whole, hard disc, no chunks!

As a newbie, I am very happy with this purchase
New to the "pollen" compacting game, but once I had a pile of stuff, this item was great in turning that hard to manage pile of powdery stuff into nice solid pucks of happiness. It comes with 3 cylinders to make different sized cakes...I made a gram log and a bunch of 2 gram pucks. EZ to use, well made...I can see this little item lasting for years if not longer. Using parchment paper on either side of the puck was nice to get a smooth face...without those small discs of paper, some of the product would stick to the steel cylinders. Cleaned it up easily and stored it away for next season. I may just get another one, as well priced as they are, to speed up the puck making. Or three... I am a very happy customer.

Perfect after you know how to use it.
This is a great pollen press. I used it once so far and it does exactly what it should, press pollen into a small puck between the size of a quarter and a nickle. Very solid feeling with metal dowels and case. The grips on the ends of each twisting piece is enough to really tighten it down. There was one problem which I ended up finding the answer to with a little googling. The pollen will stick to the dowels when pressed. The second time I did it I could not get the puck off without it breaking apart (makes the press kinda pointless at that point). I retried but this time I pressed then put it in the freezer for about 4 hours (probably could have done less, kinda forgot about it), then took it out and the puck fell right off the dowels with a little push by the finger. It would be nice to have had some directions with this on how to use it and that a freezer will make the pucks come off with ease. Without the directions I didn't know that I was supposed to put the pollen between dowels so the first time I actually put it at the end of a cap and tried pressing. That did not work at all.But as I said with a about 15-20 minutes of research (googling) I was able to find the answer so I did not take any stars off. Definitely feels like a solid press that will last the rest of my life and then some.

the quality of this product is sub-par at best. The threads are chewed up
1 Star because the product obviously came used. Still smelled of kief/marijuanna, and had residue of said kief all on the side of the pollen press. The unit was missing ALL of the metal dowels that are supposed to come with it. There were some slight knicks in the anodize I wasn't too concerned with, however, the quality of this product is sub-par at best. The threads are chewed up, and/or put in with an extremely dull die/tap. This was done prior to anodize. I work as a quality inspector in a CNC shop, and this would have never left our Quality department

Tolerances are very close, the metal rods slowly sink ...
Tolerances are very close, the metal rods slowly sink into place, so you willlose no pollen. It is small, palm size, but I dont need a 2 ton press, that Amazon suggested.

Works as it should
Worked perfect for me. Be sure to use baking paper in between pollen and dowels at both ends. A little heat and a few mins chilling in the freezer. Be careful when heating though, aluminium heats up quickly

Great press but be careful when removing pollen
Love this product although I had to cut out a plastic circle to add in between the metal and pollen to stop from sticking
