No More Shredding Paper!
Great roller! It works well on documents and pill bottles. Now rather than shred everything with my name and address on it, it just roll over it and put it in the paper recycling. Contrary to older reviews, I have not found it necessary to go over anything with a Sharpie. Sometimes I need to roll more than once to cover it fully, but that's more "operator error" (I can't roll straight). I recommend putting something bigger under it, so you don't roll on a table/counter and that you wait a second or two for the ink to dry. I couldn't be happier.

I LOVE IT! It's High On My List Of Favorite Things!
I actually ran across this little gem while searching for a desktop shredder that I could keep on my desk at work, and for a model that I could use at home with a larger capacity wastebasket. I got this inker because I was so tired of having to shred everything, and the shredder mess from frequently emptying the wastebasket is annoying. All that made shredding such a chore that I found myself accumulating large piles of papers waiting for me to find the time, and fortitude, to shred them. Also since you can't shred prescription labels, I had settled on peeling the labels off and twisting them up as tight as I could, which took a lot of time and effort, and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't stop anyone who was determined to get the info off of them. With this inker I can roll right over the prescription label on the bottle and then toss the bottle straight into the waste basket. I was really surprised and pleased at how thorough a job this little inker does at covering up the writing on the labels. You can't read any of it after you have inked over it. I had been using a sharpie pen to ink over the address labels on magazines and junk mail, but this is much more convenient, it's way faster, and even does a better job at obscuring the info than the sharpie. I will be buying several more of these so as to always have one on hand. I gave some away as stocking stuffers for Christmas and everyone I gave them to that has tried them, loves them. I keep mine right where I open my mail and I no longer have piles of mail accumulating there waiting for me to find time to shred. It is amazing to think that something so simple could get rid of my dread of facing those piles of mail. I have unplugged my shredder and I no longer have to empty that teeny tiny waste basket after every 10 minutes of shredding papers.

Great for use with pill bottles
I purchased this item to use with prescription pill bottles I was going to throw into recycling. Originally, I was using a black, thick-tipped Sharpie marker to obscure the information on the pill bottle, but the writing at certain angles was still legible. This stamp roller does a very good job of camouflaging the writing underneath the rolled-on ink, and it is extremely difficult to read the original pill bottle markings. The ink does dry fairly quickly, but I would still allow it a few untouched moments to prevent smearing. Because the stamp is a roller, it is much easier to apply the ink versus your conventional stamp. I have not tried this stamp on any other type of writing, (i.e. envelopes, checks, etc.) so I cannot comment on its effectiveness on high gloss/treated paper.

Ink is too thin to cover on pill bottle labels
I bought this to obliterate my information on my prescription bottles but the ink in it for some reason does not cover the text on the prescription label - the ink in this comes out as thin grey, not black so the black text on the prescription label is easily readable. Possibly the reason is prescription labels are printed on paper that has a semi-gloss surface but if the printer used by the pharmacist can make the text dark black then why can’t the maker of these identity obliterate also use ink that comes out dark and dense black on prescription labels?

It's just ok. It doesn't cover shiny paper, so it didn't work for covering shipping labels. Works ok on regular paper but I still need to use a Sharpie to completely cover my address.

10/10
I have to redact a lot of documents at my workplace and this gets the job done fast and is much easier than any other method I've used. I prefer the roller over many of the stamp style ones you see, it makes covering large areas quick. It doesn't roll like white out where you can only go in straight lines. The ink is very dark and you truly can't see anything under it. The harder you press when rolling, the darker it will be. You can also use it on a bit of an angle to cover smaller lines. I've been using mine heavily for about a month and the ink shows no signs of wearing down, but I will gladly repurchase when that happens.

Great for Identity Protection
This roller works just as advertised -- Envelopes, statements, slick catalog paper: The roller can cover up all the address, catalog number, and what-not that will give away your identity. The only warning I'll give is that there is a dry-time to the ink, roughly 30 seconds (especially on slick paper). But the information is completely obscured and the ink doesn't come off once it's dry.

Simple and effective
Much quicker than tearing up paperwork you want to dispose of whilst keeping your identity private.

Does what it’s intended to do. A little smelly.
This thing is so cool. So easy to black out personal formation on Mail. Only downside is the smell is quite strong. Like a permanent marker.

No me fue útil
No me gustó para nada. La tinta no me duró. Apenas taché un par de remitentes de la correspondencia y la tinta era mínima.
