Should have known - these are cheapy, plastic shoes made in China. They look and feel cheap. As well, based on their sizing guide, the size I ordered was too big (long). I am returning these. If you want cheapy, plastic shoes that don't fit - go ahead and buy these.

So the strap detached in first couple days. That being said, my son really thrashes shoes. The soles still intact. The rest of shoe seems sewn well. Very nice looking for someone trying to look from another time. We call them his "viking shoes". I would still reccomend but advise manufacturer to check straps stitched.

I was wearing this shoe recently when visiting a son-in-law in Atlanta and a brother-in-law in Jacksonville. Both commented on my shoes and asked where I got them. I showed them the Amazon site. My son-in-law, who is quite capable of buying whatever he wants, asked me to buy him a pair of the shoes. My brother-in-law indicated he would like a pair. Both recipients are pleased with their shoes. I was happy to buy them. At age 79, I have become a trendsetter within the family.

easy to put on and take off. the little zipper is a bit deceiving as it does not matter whether open or closed but overall it is a great shoe for the price and I get a lot of compliments.
