Change anode before next season of use
After we get home from Florida with our fifth wheel we drain the hot water heater and insert a new anode rod so it’s ready whenever we are. We use our camper a couple weeks in the summer, then six months again in the winter in Florida. The shipping is fast and the price is reasonable.
