Good Amla powder, issue with packaging
Almost 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I learned through the book How Not To Die & the authors' website nutritionfacts.org that the best cure was to consume lots of antioxidants. So I started having a berry-based smoothie every day for breakfast, as blueberries are higher than most fruits in antioxidants. I later learned on the website above that amla powder is extremely high in antioxidants, so I started adding it to my smoothies. Within a few months, I had stopped taking my medication, most of the mobility had returned & I no longer had any pain. And it has stayed that way. I'm not saying this was 100% down to amla powder but as a rich source of antioxidants, it must be a significant part.I guess amla powder is amla powder - this appears to be just as good as the other brand I bought. The only downside is that the pouch is difficult to reseal after use. As a fine powder, I found that pouring the powder into an airtight jar would result in quite a lot of it going everywhere except in the jar, so with my previous brand, I opted for keeping it in the resealable pouch. But I have had such difficulties resealing this one that I will have to opt for the jar again. But weight-wise, I suppose this doesn't amount to a huge loss.I should also mention that I have added the powder to smoothies of various flavours & it has always been tasteless - so you can have the health benefits without any aftertaste.

Source of vitamin C
Amla is an Indian Gooseberry, it is rich in nutrients, vitamin C, calcium and iron and helps in boosting the immunity.I have heard about it before but I have never tried it.There is not much information on the packaging but the daily dose is 10g so I assumed a teaspoon. I probably used more than that (Using Maca that way) and mixed it with water and I couldn't finish it.So definitely just less than a half teaspoon and mixed rather with the smoothie! It has a very strange taste, it is bitter, almost peppery but also slightly sour.It can be add to the natural face masks so I might try that as well I think.I can't say I love or hate this product because I didn't really know what to expect and I am just learning to incorporate it in my diet as a natural source of vitamin C.The product seems fresh and of good quality. Only con would be the packaging. I just can't to seem to lock the zip lock bag and after decanting some of the powder into a glass jar I had to close the rest using the sellotape.

Great
A very good amount for the price. Dense and heavy. I can't personally comment on the taste as I plan to use this product as a hair mask, it's also not as green as other comments would lead you to believe.
