Having used many high-end boutique brands, this is still my favorite
I've been using Magic Move for years (both the yellow and red containers, though I prefer red because it's a little more firm). For me, it strikes the perfect balance of the following: soft and pliable enough to run fingers through, but still holds shape and texture well; smells nice but not in your face with the fragrance; works all day but washes out really easily the next morning; not too oily, as some products can melt onto my face and combine with my sweat to cause breakouts, but not the case with Magic Move.In the end, it also really comes down to style: if you're looking for a very firm hold and high shine, then Magic Move is NOT for you. Or if you want really high-hold with matte finish, I would recommend either Claymation by Hanz de Fuko or Clay Pomade by Baxter of California, both of which offer a really strong hold, great for going out on windy days. Personally, my hair is very wavy and I've found over the years that it's better to roll with the waviness and let it be wild and free, rather than try so hard to tame it. So Magic Move gives it some hold and texture, but only enough to keep its general shape and let my coiffure get as funky and wavy as it wants to throughout the day. If I want to clean up the look, I simply run my fingers through and voila, we're back in business. I've tried other medium-hold and low-shine salon-quality pomades from Hanz de Fuko, Baxter, and Shu Uemura, and all of them leave my hair feeling a bit too greasy for my tastes, and make my face more prone to breakouts. Magic Move doesn't really feel or smell like anything once it's in my hair, yet the texture is still great, and I don't breakout or feel greasy. So for me, it's definitely my favorite go-to everyday styling product.

Great product, limited stock right now
I reached out to the distributor and found out that this product is back ordered in Japan. Supposedly it will be back in the US in Jan or Feb 2023 which means any stores who have it now are going to charge a lot for it. I'll switch products until it is back to its usual price.

I have been trying for years to grease my hair back to have it look like a movie star...
You have to try this stuff. I have been try to grease my hair back to have it look like a movie star...you know, the Mad Men look (seriously, hahaha I know, a bit embarrassing...but don't tell me that you don't try to do the same thing!). Well, my best friend's hair always looked that way so I finally broke down and asked him the humiliating question that us guys do not like to ask other guys: "What's your secret?". Well, when he told me how much it cost, I thought "no way!" but then I have probably spent 20 years and hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to try to get the look I have now!Tips: 1) Wet your hair...really wet, not just damp. 2) Rub some of the Magic Move in your hand 3) Put it in your hair 3) Combe straight back with a fine comb 4) Make a "Mad Men" part! Now the coolest part is when you have had it in for hours and then you put your hands through your hair and get rid of the wet-look, it looks like silk. I am not joking when I tell you that hundreds of people have said my hair looks great...and I have hated my hair for 30 years!!!Try it and tell me if you agree!

World's Best Product for Baby Fine Hair
I got hooked on this about 20 years ago, when it was all the rage and easily found in high end, boutique salons. My hairdresser raved about it, and used it on my shoulder length baby hair, and it was unlike anything I'd ever tried. It comes in several formulations in varying degrees of "hold", and we'd used all of them at one time or another. No silicone (nasty stuff and the kiss of death for fine hair), so I get light texturing and definition, a silky smooth finish, and static-free hair. It's a natural smelling paste formulation, and I wish it had a just a bit of girly fragrance to it; but the end result for me is so undeniably good that I'm not even remotely inclined to dis it just because it isn't loaded with perfume. Sadly, I can no longer easily find it in a salon, as it's been replaced by so many big name brand products that are absolutely loaded with slimy silicones. BUT, the good news is you can find it here on Amazon, and the company I purchased from (Salon and More) sent a perfectly fresh jar of my favorite hold, the "red" Firm Hold. I've bookmarked 'em and you should, too.

Good for Asian hair
It's hard to find hair wax (in America) that works well with Asian hair, but this imported product is probably good enough. I also like that it doesn't leave much (if any) excess residue. My only complaint is that I wish it lasted a little longer and with more hold. It usually starts failing a little before a work day is over. That might have more to do with me not using enough of it though. I'm admittedly very conservative with the amount I use. I use just enough to hold the style I want from the start, but no more than that.

It just works!
Works as expected! No need to use a lot and it stays for the day. I would give it a 5 if it was a bit cheaper.

The Best Hair Wax Ever
I have used this product for a while and originally purchased it from the stylist who has cut and colored my hair for 30 years. When I saw it on Amazon.com and it was less money I decided to try it. When it arrived and I opened it I was amazed at the quality of the product. It was soft and fresh; in fact fresher than when I purchased it from the hair salon. Magic move can be used sparingly and your hair has a wonderful look.
