Hollywood Heartthrob Ridge Plays Hero For Damsel In Distress Grace & Her Father During A Blizzard!
This book is a spin-off of Accidental Knight, book four of the Marriage Mistake series, which is Drake Larkin and Bella Reed’s story. The Romeo Arrangement is a Knights of Dallas book about Ridge Barnet and Grace Sellers. Don’t forget to download the free bonus epilogue! The link is found at the end of the book.Ridge Dane Barnet, thirty-three, hadn’t understood just how rough the winters would be in Dallas, North Dakota when he quietly settled there last year. It is late March and he finds himself about to face yet another blizzard and weeks of being snowed in with his valet, Tobin. Tobin has been with him since Ridge was a teen and functions more like a babysitter. He is a father figure in a sense. Ridge’s own father had died when he was eight, leaving an inheritance which made Ridge a billionaire. He hadn’t needed to work, but with a famous actress as a mother, he had been in the business himself since he was in diapers. But Ridge was never satisfied, always restless. He had retired from Hollywood last year – for the third time – and fell in love with Dallas when visiting Faulk, with whom he had served in the Army after his second retirement from Hollywood. As much as he loves that only a few in the sleepy town know his true identity – Dane Barnet, Hollywood heartthrob – Ridge is starting to go stir crazy. He heads to his friend Grady’s place, the Purple Bobcat, to get as much socialization in as possible before the storm hits.Grace Sellers, twenty-five, never understood the trouble that her father had gotten himself enmeshed in years ago. When she was a teen he retired from his Milwaukee railroad job and bought a pumpkin farm north of the city. They weren’t rich, but they had a nice enough life. Grace had gone away to college and earned a degree in interior design, but she got the first dose of bad news when she graduated. Her mother had cancer. Grace gave up her dreams and returned home to help her father with the farm, but the medical bills piled up faster than they could be paid off. The Old Town Boys reappeared from the past with offers of no strings assistance, but once her mother died things went downhill quickly at the farm. With their beloved horses, Rosie and Stern, loaded up in their horse trailer, Grace and her ailing father skip town. A cousin in Montana has a farm, which is their only hope of lying low and regrouping. But they find themselves in a blizzard just hours away, and their old Ford pickup doesn’t stand a chance. They desperately search for signs of civilization and a safe place to weather the storm, so when they come across the Purple Bobcat they turn off the road. But little had they known that trouble had followed them. When Ridge sees a woman in distress, it conjures up all sorts of feelings. One of them is excitement – the opportunity to put his acting skills to work and play hero. He claims the beautiful woman is his fiancée and takes care of the troublemaker. That his damsel in distress and her father need a safe place to stay through the storm gives him a purpose once again and promises to break up the monotony of being snowed in yet again. Grace finds herself rescued from Jackknife Pete by a handsome and magnetic stranger. He insists that she and her father stay through the storm in his guest house, but she knows they need to leave the first chance possible, before danger finds its way to their rescuer’s home.Ridge and Grace find one another by chance, but a combination of circumstances and Ridge’s stubborn resolve to help fix Grace and Nelson’s problems gives love an opportunity to blossom. They have a sweet connection and wonderful chemistry together. But the story is also about Dallas and the people in the community that Ridge now calls home. In addition to his friend Faulk, he has met and befriended Drake Larkin and Grady of the Purple Bobcat. Although Grace becomes comfortable in Dallas, she knows that the time for her to leave will inevitably arrive. She has secrets, but so does Ridge. Despite his fame and wealth, he has self-confidence issues. His habit of boredom and quitting is only broken up by the occasional crisis, and it is Tobin who helps him whether those. Tobin might be the most steady thing in his life. When he meets Grace, Ridge steps in to a role. He commits himself to helping Grace and her father through their crisis, but how much of what he feels is actually real, versus just a product of the hero role he has assumed, is unclear to him. The couple does eventually earn a wonderful happy ending.Hollywood heartthrob Ridge plays hero for damsel in distress Grace and her ailing father during a North Dakota blizzard. Ridge and Grace’s story is packed with suspense and steam in a small town setting. The book is beautifully written. The characters are well-defined. There are numerous supporting characters, some of which might conceivably get their own book in the future. The plot is somewhat complex. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Ridge and Grace. I rate this book five stars.I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Ridge can save me anytime!
TRIGGERS: attempted sexual assault. Grace and her gravely sick dad, Nelson are running, running for their lives with everything they own in the back of their truck and the horse trailer driving through a severe snowstorm with zero visibility. So, already the suspense is killing me. What would make them risk their lives driving in this weather and who put the horses through that torture. When they see a dive bar, they pull over to eat and rest. Things begin to go downhill from here. Enter Ridge, a wealthy man who's just hanging out basically because he's bored at his house with his adult nanny by his side (ok so he's like a bodyguard/right-hand man). He jumps in to save the day by claiming Grace as his fiance. He knows they're in trouble and also knows they can't go anywhere in the storm. He opens his home to them despite not knowing them. This is what I love about people from the south and people of the midWest… they are polite, and caring. He hires a home health nurse and brings in a doctor for a house call to care for Nelson. Meanwhile, he's slowly, and I mean slowly making the move on Grace. They do what they have to do to make the engagement look real and that means being seen together. Seems to work pretty well. I really enjoyed this book. It had an element of secrets, danger, comedy and romance. Grace and ridge have a strong chemistry but since the story is a slow burn… it's really hard to tell at times. The romance element is hot but not scorching. Still, I think the story is really good.

Everyone needs a hero
Grace’s fathers mistakes have cost them everything. In danger and on the run there is nowhere left to hide. Salvation comes in the form of an unknown stranger in a bar. Not only does he pretend they are engaged, but offers them a temporary safe haven at his home. Ridge is a rancher, actor and former military man. He didn’t expect to be a knight in shining armour but can’t help but come to the aid of Grace and her Father in their time of need. Falling for Grace is inevitable, but with the danger still present, how far will Ridge go to protect his girl and her father? Not only is this story dramatic and suspenseful, with Ridge being one swoon worthy hero, I was drawn into this gripping tale of hope, salvation and love.

Effin hell, I couldn't put it down!
No plot spoilers. No real potential triggers. The characterisation is absolutely sublime. I was invested in both lead characters from the first page, my heart ached for her, while his character blew me away the more we got to know him. There are no grammatical or editorial errors, the book is flawless. There is totally the right balance of show and tell, it has everything you could ever want, sadness, hilarity, loving sex and a plotline to die for.I will be purchasing the next book in this series, in fact, I'm downloading it immediately. If you like suspense, action and a HEA written in faultless detail, this is the book for you.

3.5 ⭐️
I wasn’t expecting such a story. The emphasis on the suspense part was unexpected but still welcome. The FMC was likable and relatable. She’d been dealt a lot but showed good spirits. The MMC was ok though I had a bit of a problem with him.As a couple they could have been a bit more. I’m not sure what but something was missing there for me.All in all an okay read from Nicole Snow.PS : I didn’t find it as hilariously funny as the blurb made it sound and found it to be quite serious apart from the rebel horse who stole the show a few times.
