Very interesting book. Describes the mind-body connection and the functions of hypnosis.

this book is easy to read & gives easily replicable procedures. many of his advanced interpretations are based on very basic material used in the national guild of hypnotists certification training. this book acts as an upgrade to the training.

Another HAVE TO HAVE in the library of a truly professional hypnotherapist. Thank you Dr. Rossi for your work and allowing us to follow where you led.

Rossi was a very close friend/student of Milton Erickson. He is prolific with research and an important scientist. Highly recommend

Rossi is the best

In a word, excellent. A wonderful explanation of mind-body dynamics and the placebo effect. Some excellent hypnotic and mind-body healing techniques. Dr. Rossi is a true expert in his field. He fully justifies that reputation with this book.

Less than easy reading. I purchased it in the hopes that it would help me with some of Rossi's later writing. Perhaps I don't have enough science or am not detailed enough. Michael Gazzaniga's books, perhaps because they are more recent, explain the workings of the unconscious in a way that was much clearer for me. However, any of Rossi's books are worth having.

Easy to read... but very in depth. Great book.

The book was for a Christmas present. Upon opening it was discovered there was a hole ripped in page 172 with the remains of a missing page next to it all ripped.Quality should be checked before dispatched.
