Deteriorates quickly. Comfortable
It starting flaking after the first use. It feels good when shifting. Looks good too. Just flakes easy and quickly. I wouldn't buy it again tbh.

Yep. It’s a shift knob.
It works. Good fit. Probably a little over priced for what it is but way better than all the tacky fashion shifters that people put on their fast and furious mobiles. (Isn’t everyone that knows about that in their 30’s by now?) Only issue I had is that the rubber starts peeling off pretty quick, but the whole thing is made out of rubber so there’s just a new layer underneath. Doesn’t change the overall appearance that I can tell. Once it stops exfoliating itself we’ll know for sure.

Won't last
1 month and the coating/rubberized coating is just peeling off.

Rubber started to peel within a week. now looks heavily used.
Rubber compound used on this product not sturdy for intended application. Please rework the compound or find a way to coat the rubber with something more durable?

Nice and solid.
Great fit. Especially for a press on knob. It went on very easy and feels very secure. Larger than the original and feels good in the hand. An upgrade, for sure !!!

Excellent OEM replacement
Great replacement part for 2008 Ford Ranger. Original knob rubber was delaminating. These knobs are press on, not screw on. Removal can be very difficult. To remove: Push down rubber shift boot. Take 5/8in wrench, hit bottom of knob with hammer upwards to remove. If that doesn't work, you may have to get a little heavy handed. I had to literally tear all the rubber and plastic off the knob and hit the metal center of the knob with a torch. (differential heating between metal center and plastic insert, broke connection between metal shaft and plastic within the metal center of the knob.) I never imagined taking a torch out to install a shift knob, but here we are. Install of the replacement knob was 6 blows with a hammer, easy enough.
