Fantastic for the fish motivated feline
These freeze dried minnows are the perfect post-pill reward for my big orange cat, who needs occasional rounds for his condition. He doesn't like taking his medicine, but he knows he gets a "smellyfish" (they definitely have a little bit of an odor - they're fish!) when he takes it without giving me a ton of fuss.So he takes his medicine, gets his smellyfish reward, and we're all happy with a healthy kitty. It will absolutely depend on the cat. My tuxie doesn't like these, as they're not little filled niblet treats that he enjoys. You won't know until you try it.Also, it doesn't seem like a lot in the bag for the price, but I promise it is. If I give one every day, my cat still has a couple months of minnows in the bag. Some are tiny, but others are huge. You could reasonably break some up into two or three pieces and still have a good sized treat out of it. Remember they're freeze dried, so the overall weight is far less than if you gave fresh, non-dehydrated minnows. This little bag packs a big punch.I also learned dogs like them too, and have shared the occasional sneaky snack when my friend visits with his puppers, who is a very sweet boy.Totally worth the cost, and every bit as good if you don't have a picky snacker.

Cats Love it and it's Healthy but TOO EXPENSIVE!
I wish I could afford to buy my cats more of these, but the price is just too high. I really don't understand it.

Cat LOVES this but....
Our cat LOVES this but there are sometimes large hard pieces that I cannot easily break apart. The skin of the fish can be tough as well and I worry that my cat may choke on it if its large so i have to sometimes cut the pieces. That said, we have bought this a few times now and some packages are better about this than others. I tried another brand and another type of freeze dried fish and our cat didn't like them as much as this product. So, we will continue to buy this one but will be careful when giving it to our cat.

Dried tuna bits: uneven quality but I'm still buying
Quality is definitely an issue but my cat loves this tuna. I train her and need small rewards. I have to go through the packet and examine each piece for skin because the skin is very hard; she doesn't like these and I'm afraid they'll hurt her mouth or esophagus, so I scrupulously cut off the skin. Getting the good pieces to a small size for training isn't hard; just a paring knife usually does it and sometimes a scissors. If I can't cut off the skin, I throw out the piece as being a hasard. Yes, I end up with a lot of tuna dust, but that isn't a complete loss because at the end of training she gets a plate with tuna dust sprinkled thinly over it. The alternative is Catit lickable in a tube which is messy. She loves the Catit tuna even more; I have to squeeze a bit onto a finger; otherwise she wants to bite the tube. Lickable reward doesn't do it for snuffle pad searches, however., though it is very high value to use for the tricks she is hesitant about or doesn't really like such as putting up with nail clipping, eye wiping, and teeth brushing. So I hope for better but still keep buying both. Thank goodness for scented hand soap!!

My cat w Diabetes L🩷VES it!
Been tough trying to find low carb treats for my cat with diabetes. She DOES love seafood, so this was PURRRRFECT for her! (See what I did there?) 😻If your cat has a hankering for seafood, he or she will love this too!My other cat does not like seafood and turned up his nose to this.

So much vomit
My vet's office recommend I try liver treats for one of my two cats due to some plaque buildup on their teeth.. So I was blindly trusting of this product. I was so wrong. It was delivered while I happened to be home for lunch, so I gave one to each of my cats (A Persian cat and a normal calico cat) before I left to go back to work. I noticed the Persian cat, who these were originally for, only licked it a few times then turned away.. so I simply thought this a dud experience. Then he started to vomit.. repeatedly.. and foaming at the mouth a bit. He was walking around with gunk hanging from his face with me following in short pursuit, trying to clean it up as much as I could before returning late to work, knowing I would shampoo the carpet upon return. I thought that was the end of it.When I returned home that night, I found my other cat actually LOVED these treats, stole them from the tabletop, chewed the bag open, and ate half of them. After gorging herself she, too, vomited ALL OVER THE PLACE. Needless to say I was very busy that night cleaning my entire home, grateful for the doors I had shut and rooms I had spared of this horrific experience.Obviously this could just be my cats and nothing to do with the product. My Persian cat does have a sensitivity to some products in the past (not often, but a few), and my other cat obviously overdid it, but regardless it didn't sit well with them. All in all, if your cat has had food sensitivities in the past or is a fat glutton please be mindful, and I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Great smelly treat for my poultry-averse cats!
My cats love the taste of these and I love that I can feel safe rewarding them with them thanks to the simple ingredients. Just plain, simple freeze-dried tuna that isn’t full of a bunch of other stuff that I wouldn’t even be able to pronounce. I also appreciate the variety of flavors that are available in this company’s treats since my cats aren’t fans of chicken/turkey.The treats don’t smell the best, but it’s more important that they smell good to the cats than to me (and they give a 10/10 on that front!) That being said, it’s not that the smell is unexpected— they smell exactly how they should, like dry tuna. They can last over a month if you’re conservative with your treating, so 5 dollars for a bag isn’t too bad if you ask me.

Best Treat For Digestion
My kitty loves her treats, but her digestion doesn’t!I tried every possible treat out there, and she always had diarrhea from them! It has been 2 weeks on these treats and her digestion is 100% perfect in every way! She likes the taste and the crunch! Thank you!

A bit of a fishy smell but that's good!
My very particular cat actually loves these! It took him a bit to figure out how to eat them, though he showed interest straight away because of the smell. He previously lived in a household where he only got Temptations treats and I wanted to get him something with better ingredients and for variety. Thought these looked interesting and you can't really go wrong with PureBites. Once I realized he prefers them to be snapped in half first, he was all about them. I'm happy, he's happy, even the dog loves them haha. Will definitely purchase again!
