Albert's Chocolate Ice Cubes 50 Count, 16 ounces

If you ate these as a kid, like I did, you won't be disappointed. They taste exactly how I remember them. A word of caution, however: don't order them in the summer unless you're absolutely going to be home when they arrive. They are very well packaged with a gel cold pack and in a cool-bag, but our Amazon driver didn't knock or ring bell even though the packaged said 'perishable', 'refrigerate immediately after delivery', and had red warning labels. Ours sat in the sun for hours even though we were home because the driver didn't notify us of delivery. Sitting in the heat causes the cocoa butter to separate, leak out, and turns them all into an oily, melty, mess that doesn't taste very good.

My chocolate came by regular mail. It was triple packed and they were perfect. Not a melted one in the bunch. I put them in the freezer and savored their smooth flavor cooled to perfection. Yes, I would buy from this vendor again. You do take a risk by buying them in any kind of weather. They are delicate chocolates and very prone to melting and the chances are 50/50 that they will arrive a little messed up. It looked like that vendor was listening and shipped my chocolate with that in mind. Even if they are a bit melted, take off your entitled panties and eat the damn chocolate. It's chocolate!

I was so excited to find these, as they were one of my favorite candies as a child. When I opened the box, it was stuffed with brown kraft paper, and the candies were lose inside, and had been melted and squished at some point. There were oily stains all over the paper and the box. Still I was somehow hopeful, so I opened one, to find it had a whitish coating, popped it in my mouth, and bit into it, and promptly went and spit it in the trash. I do believe this IS the candy from my childhood...like literally it's been sitting around since I was a child. Nasty, old, melted, disgusting. Threw it away.

Best chocolate flavor. Just think about the temperature they melt very easy.

I was disappointed that these were not packaged in a regular Ice Cube display box. The box was a plain box, but 3x larger than was needed. The chocolates bounced around in the package and some were crushed from jostling during shipment. I would have preferred a sealed mfgr box or clear tub as they used to sell them from on candy counters. The chocolates were all edible, but as packaged, they were not truly giftable. I was disappointed.

I’m over 70 and when I saw these candles I was reminded of my Grandfather. I might have been 4or 5 at the time living in California and it was a hot summer day, grandpa asked me if I wanted an ice cube. I always said yes to what grandpa offered. When he handed me this frozen gold wrapped candy I was puzzled, but I unwrapped it and popped it in my mouth, I was so surprised I the sweet candy melting slowly in my mouth and as I looked up at grandpa he had the biggest grin and such a twinkle in his eyes. I quickly learned a lesson though, if I asked for an ice cube he was always out, if I let him offer they were always in the freezer, it was his treat to me. I’ve loved sharing that candies with my own grandchildren. Of course they don’t have to be frozen to be good. It just happens to be the way I like them because of grandpa. Thanks Grandpa for a wonderful memory.

Nestle clams to make the very best chocolate but these beat Nestle's hands down. But sadly I ordered a 50 count bag, and received a 40 count box 😭. guess they think we are stupid and can't count? Update after spending more time than the value of the product is worth, in robot ancering system hell try to get to a real person (not a robot) Amazon promised that I would receive a full refund,and couy just keep the 40 that was delivered. Because they can't do refunds on food products that have bt opened as these were opened so I could count them Only time will tell if they actually refunded the money! I GUESS it is nice that I got to keep the 40 count box, but I spent enough time calling in the complaint trying to get beyond the robot ancering service to have earned them. I hate having to spend so much time putting a complaint. But I also hate being took advantage of and unless someone stands up to make the complaints they will just abuse us all indefinitely.

I haven't eaten these in about 10 years.
