Sunscreen smarts
I bought this sunblock for my trip to Cairns and Sydney. I did my share of outdoor activities under the blazing OZ sun including kayaking, ATVing, scubadiving and... eating. In the areas I did apply the block on, absolutely no sunburn at all. However, when my friend and I went kayaking on an open cockpit kayak, we failed to apply them on our LEGS! But we do have the peace of mind to know that if we were smart enough to apply it, we wouldn't look like a pair of Asian flamingos hobbling back to shore.I did deduct a star because the sunblock comes out in a very thick paste which makes it hard to spread evenly. Perhaps this is a limitation of an all-natural sunscreen, so it is forgiveable. So... Correction: we looked like a pair of splotchy Asian flamingos hobbling off into the sunset.

Three Stars
This product works you really have to rub it in to avoid leaving your skin white.

Non-toxic, thank goodness
I wanted a sunscreen without toxins and found Naked Turtle. I have used it for two years and like it - no rashes, not greasy. It is thick, and can be rubbed in so the white color disappears, or you can leave it visible to be sure you can see when it wears off. I bought 6 oz. for $19.95, noted current ad for 3 oz. at $17.99 - quite an upcharge, nearly twice the price, over two years.I have seen others that are natural but are only 20 SPF, 30 is my minimum requirement. I am buying it for family members.Would buy again, but look for a lower price.

Great for preventing burns
I bought this to use in Hawaii, and it definitely prevented burns (and tans too, but more importantly, burns). It is extremely frustrating to rub into your skin though, especially if you are a dude like me and have hairy legs. I found it to be impossible to rub in all the way on my lower arms too, and it created a visible layer of white. But, its overall effectiveness outweighs the gloss it causes, and I would get it again.

Too pasty
This is so hard to apply. It might protect but I gave up because I could not blend it in my skin and you look like Frankenstein afterwards

it works!
it works! we were at the gulf for a week, no sunburn. you really can't ever rub it all in, but the advantage is that you can always tell if you've missed a spot.

Great Sunscreen
Wonderful sunscreen. I have very sensitive and extremely fair/freckled skin. I use this on my face daily as a moisturizer as well as a sunscreen. I typically wear makeup over the sunscreen, but when I don't my face is noticeably whiter because of the sunscreen. I personally don't mind it though. It hasn't caused me to breakout, which most sunscreens do and I like the subtle scent it has, unlike most sunscreens. It is not oily at all and dries very quickly.

Not a regular sunscreen
You are white. It comes out thick and white. Not a regular sunscreen. It is basically for your nose.
