Yuzu Pao Sriracha Sauce - Green (8 ounce)

I am a HUGE yuzu kosho fan, and a HUGE fan of just about every hot sauce you can think of. That is why I hate to say that this falls short so bad on both fronts. Runny, bland, watered down flavor that does not represent yuzu kosho, sriracha, or hot sauce of any kind. I am not trying at all to be critical, I REALLY really wanted to like these, but there is just not a hope for these. Sorry!

Yuzu taste is very artificial.

I was making a Salsa Verde based on a recipe in a cookbook I reviewed previously. However, rather than use a serano pepper as I did the first time I made it, I actually prefer the spiciness of Sriracha as it delivers that kick, without adding any flavor - essentially letting the main ingredients of your sauce own the stage. However, the sriracha turned the sauce mid green/red if you know what I mean. I thought therefore I could keep the green color of the sauce by buying a green sriracha. It advertises as sriracha, but sriracha "it ain't." It's not even spicy!This sauce reminds me of the line Lloyd Bentsen delivered to Dan Quayle during their 1988 debate: "Senator, I served with Jack Kennedy. I knew Jack Kennedy. Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. Senator, you're no Jack Kennedy!"

Delicious... Hot spicy, citrusy and light.
