I opened the box this morning and put the chair together in about 2 hours. The materials and craftsmanship are excellent, especially considering how low the price is. The design is good. The cushions are soft enough to pad your knees, and the height adjusts by simply turning a brass knob (no need to take the whole chair apart and screw it back together in a different position). It has a very attractive design. Compared to other kneeling chairs in the same price range, I like this one. The assembly instructions consist of a detailed pictorial diagram, with no verbal explanations. This should not cause you difficulty if you have assembled furniture in the past. If you have never used a kneeling chair before, you will find this style of chair helps keeps your back and abdominal muscles toned if you have to sit all day. However, if you are not already in good physical condition, this style of chair might cause you some discomfort. It has a label saying it will only hold 200 pounds. It can cause some discomfort on your knees, which can be alleviated by taking short standing breaks every hour or so.P.S. - I have been using the chair for several months. The knee plate gradually came loose, and you could feel it rocking back and forth. Today I got out the Allen wrenches & spent about 10 minutes tightening all the screws. Now the problem is fixed & the chair seems good as new. Shortly after I started using the chair, I bent too far forward to pick up something off the floor, and I tipped the whole chair over and landed on my knees on the floor (double ouch). However, I think that was a matter of "operator error" and nothing went wrong with the chair; just be careful and don't lean over too far, to avoid overbalancing.

This is the third kneeling chair I have bought and I will replace the others with more of these. It is perfect. I am 5'4" and 135 pounds, female, short limbs. I use it for gaming.It is especially nice looking, with the wood.Installation instructions are terse, two illustrations. If you have good 3D spatial visualization it is easy. The bolts have machined holes and they seat perfectly, not always the case. Solid.Some people have said the cushioning is inadequate but I do not find that to be the case. It is just right, comfortable for long periods.

I'm going to give the good first. I have a number of back problems, but the one that pushed me to try this chair is a sharp pain under my left shoulder blade. (I also have severe lower and upper back osteoarthritis and degenerate disc disease.) The shoulder blade pain is like a ice pick in my back........constantly. The pain seemed worse the longer I was on the computer. I read all the reviews, compared notes, and figured for the price, it was worth trying. The chair arrived in 4 days. Wow! Assembly was as everyone said. Poor directions, but we put the chair together in an irritated 45 minutes. So not really a big deal. Chair is sturdy and looks good. The pads measure 1 1/2 inches thick on the seat portion and almost 2 inches on the knee portion. I've had the chair for 6 days now and that ice pick pain in my back is gone. Now understand; I've had this strong pain for months. It would fade at times, but it was almost always there. I noticed it's absence on the second day, but I waited to see how permanent it was. I am amazed, and for me, this chair is well worth the price to have that ice pick gone.Now the problems, the cons: While the seat cushions appeared to be thick enough, I now realize the problem. The foam is not dense enough. Foam comes in all kinds of density, from soft to firm. Because the foam they used must be in the softer category, when one sits long enough, one's butt hurts. This is the reason I could give this chair only three stars. I still am very glad I purchased it because that ice pick is gone and that is such a relief. Because I have some reupholstering skills, sometime in the future I will buy a new, dense cushion and replace the one that I am currently sitting on. Then I believe the chair will be perfect. It would be nice, however, if the company that makes this chair would make it with a firmer seat cushion and just charge a little more.
