Good product
Pros:1. Built quality. 2. Brightness. 3. Colour quality, does not fade out easily. 4. The led colour temperature is cool quiet readable. 5. Different modes. 6. Small and compact size. 6. The lens technology is very good. 8. Water resistant. 9. Constant brightness stabilization. 10. Brightness controll during heating.Cons: 1. Runtime. 2. The led has a dome shaped epoxy on it, so the lens does not fit easily, creats certain dark area during lighting.( Which E12 v2 don't have, spreads light evenly) 3. It would be better if there is another lighting mode of 80 lumen . This will give the torch a mich usable aspect. Because everytime we have to use it in 5 or 30 lumen mode. Forget about 350 lumen, the 150lumen mode even do not last long.Otherwise everything is just like the product was mentioned and it is a good torch indeed. If your need fits for a AA torch.Notes: company has mentioned alkaline and Ni-mh battery runtime on the box. I am using alkaline batteries and getting runtime of Ni-mh batttery. Which is normal because in test lab fenix has used 1900mah eneloop Ni-mh battery. And the alkaline I was using can give upto 1500mah power and afterall mah power is most important. But fenix has not mentioned which alkaline batteries they used during runtime testing. As per calculation each those aa alkaline batteries have 3850mah power and which is not possible for any aa alkaline battery. So don't disappoint by the runtime. The torch is ok.

Very good torch for Engineers
Very good and bright torch for Engineers, couple it with AA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries then you are good to go. Torch is sturdy and waterproof.

Surprisingly powerful for a small 2 x AA battery torch.
Bought this torch after looking at alot of online reviews from various sources.Very good build quality, and design which Fenix is known for. The size is thicker than a pen but, still very much for the pocket. This torch is a very good EDC (Every Day Carry) It has 4 modes , it starts on low setting 30lm I think, and scales up to level 4 which is maximum of 350lm.You can get more powerful tactical torches at this size. But they require more expensive versions of alkaline batteries (to run at their declared max power). . Which are not common batteries carried by regular shops. Or are rechargeable cells. Plus the unit prices on tactical torches are alot higher. The run time at 350lm on AA batteries is very long , and on balance impressive. If it goes flat just pop some AA's in and ready to go, no messing about.I have a few torches of various sizes and powers. So at first I though this was pretty good , but not epic. That said the more I use it, and remember its only running AA's batteries . The more I get impressed by it. I have used it at work, and people have remarked on how powerful it is for its size. Seems to throw well, and have enough flood. The only thing I find slightly annoying is that you start on the low setting. Then click/scale up to max power. But I knew this before I bought it, as I say its a EDC not a tactical torch. So starting on low make sense for very long battery life, plus even at its first setting 30lm is enough to see.

Doesn't meet my needs
This review will explain my thoughts on my Fenix E01 v2 torch first of all (a tiny AAA torch), and why I wanted a new torch & then what I make of this Fenix E20 v2 (AA torch). My use case is primarily dog-walking in the dark so I can see the pavement better. The Fenix E01 had a fairly poor battery life & had to replace it at least once a week (note I use rechargeable batteries). The brightness from the E01 was more-or-less good enough on its highest setting & it had an adequately broad light in the centre to light up the pavement. To switch on the E01 I needed to twist the front end, but it was tiresome as I don't need the torch on all the time, just in the dark areas besides cars or where the lighting is poor & the pavement is shoddy; so, first twist it comes on at its lowest level, to get to the highest level I have to twist it off, then on again and then off, then on again. So, onto the Fenix E20: I wanted a torch that lasted longer & had a switch. The Fenix E20 has 4 modes, and the 2nd top one is probably bright enough for walking. However, the distribution of light isn't as flat or broad as the E01; it is brighter & more of a hotspot than a flat bight middle area that the E01 has. The area outside the central hotspot becomes less useful due to the middle being so bright, and the middle is very narrow, making it less useful for me. Having 4 brightness modes is more than I need but it was in the specs so I knew that was a feature. The lower one isn't any use for walking, it won't light anything up & maybe is only good for doing things like doctors checking people eyes. Anyway, the method for switching the modes is OK; press for on/off, and a light half-press to cycle up the 5 brightness levels. Ideally I'd like to be able to set it to come on at the 2nd highest level, but I can't have everything I guess. No doubt some people will have other use-cases & they'll be happy with it - I just think i has poor light distribution for my use case & more modes than I'd need (I think 2 modes is plenty if the default can't be set, if a default can be set then having more is OK), so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone for dog walking or semi-frequently turning off & on.

Amazing quality and value
This is a really nicely built compact torch, and easy to carry in your pocket. The clip is removable and can be placed on the other side, too; also comes with a hand lanyard and a spare O-ring. It can stand straight if you place it lens down, but not on the other end.Performance is amazing for such a small torch, it's really bright on the highest setting. When you turn it on, it always starts on the lowest setting, which I personally like, but it would have been nice to be able to switch it on and go straight to medium or high.It came with two AA batterries which is the best, since you can buy them anywhere, but they're not reacharable. I would buy recharable ones for daily use.Overall great quality and price, feels like it will last some time.

Bright!
I had bought and used many Maglites until recently, and they are fine. But I had two Maglites fail recently so I was looking for other torches and came across Fenix. And wow! The brightness and usability of these is incredible. The one thing I would say about them is they don't look as cool as Maglites, they could definitely work on their design. If you don't care about design and want a great torch, this is it.

Top level of EDC torches
Great torch, powerful for its size and runs on 2 AA batteries, which I'm sure you can find even in a zombie pandemic of a fubar magnitude :) it also feels very well-built and sturdy with nice click action and a metal clip. It is very slightly too large for me to EDC and I recommend the smaller Fenix E12 (runs on 1 AA!) for throwing in your pocket everyday.
