These do exactly what I wanted them to and they do a great job of it. I built a workbench in my garage that folds down against the wall with these and it works great.A couple notes that are more my fault than the hinges'...they don't hold the table out perfectly level. Also, i should have mounted these to a 2x4 and mounted the 2x4 to the wall. At first I thought these hinges had some give to them but realized it was the wall bowing out a bit even though I used huge lag screws into the studs (which may be why its not level). The workbench is jusy way too large and heavy to expect a folding hinge to support it (3' deep x 4' wide 3/4" birch ply wood with 2x4s underneath around the perimeter). I solved both of these problems with a couple 2x2 legs up front that fold and lock underneath the table. It is quick and easy to set up and take down and it easily supports my weight with no wobble and its even level! Very happy with how it turned out considering I was just wingin it!

These lock-hinges are ideal for many do-it-yourself jobs around the house. In my particular application, I used them to add folding shelves to my UDS smoker which are really handy when cooking a batch of chicken or ribs and need an extra pair of hands. These stainless steel wonders were the ideal solution for my project and at a strength of over 300 lbs. per hinge, had many times the strength required. Hinges arrived on time, are well made (acually heavy duty) and best of all, stainless steel. They click into place when extended and easliy fold back down when release lever is pressed. Very pleased with this item which has allowed me to design an excellent accessory to my BBQ smoker.

That is a very strong statement to make, I know, but this unit is extremely well made. Holes on the Long ArmI used the #3 Drill to drill the holes to mount the Short Arm and used #10-24 machine screws so the screws went all the way through the piece. The hole locations for the holes were set using a iGaging Digital 3-in-1 Marking/Mortise Gauge. Once the holes were drilled the bar went on the screws with room to spare.The bars are extremely steady. The click that the pin makes when the Long Arm is brought into position lets you know it is in position. One thing I had to noticed until mounted is the Bars are made nice to make it easy to mount to a round surface so the screws can be centered on the Diameter. Mine is mounted on the post of my 3-level cart. I plan to mount a second and then a board that will swing down and out of the way when not in use. I have attached two pictures showing open and closed. The closed shows the wing nuts on the back side of the plastic tub it is mounted to.As to the Max Load: 330lb, that will come after I complete the mounting.This is a really good buy.UPDATE: October 11. Write up, "collapse the table, the arm folds back into the channel which is mounted to the wall"The photos shows that the table sticks out from the wall.2. Write up, "The distance from the wall to the table when it is collapsed is 1".The photos shows that the table sticks out about 6" at the end of the board.3. These brackets are not easy to mount. The problem is the closeness of the holes to the hinge on both arms. That makes drilling and then screwing in the screws difficult. Placing the screws and holding them is difficult while placing the drill bit. The drill bit and screw driver has to be at least 4" to 6". If you have fingers like mine, holding the screw and using a drill to screw in the screw, holding the bracket is fun. Then mounting the bracket on the board adn then on the wall is even worst. Those holes next to the hinge are difficult. I decided to drill through and use a machine bolt and nut to mount the hinge.I decided to make a drill board for both arms, see the photo. Each end of the board is the hinge end so placing this board on the wall and then on the board to mount to and then drilling the pilot holes. I also used a level on the wall to be sure the bracket was plumb. The other photos shows it mounted. I was disappointed when it did not fold as expected, but sticks out about 6" at the end of the board. Being a retired Designer I put drill bushings in the board to be sure the drill stayed straight.They are good and sturdy but the hole locations have to be contended with.The photos show it mounted. I did not put in the last, top, screw because I had a problem getting to it, for now.

I needed to attach a sturdy shelf to a rolling tool kit that I can use a vise. When I came across those foldable, sturdy, heavy duty shelf brackets I thought it was the perfect one and it sure was.

I went back and forth forever between 3 or 4 stars on this item.. I mean as for quality, this is well made sturdy hinge that can no doubt hold up a lot of weight but..... the little trigger tab that releases the hinge sticks up. Why is this such big deal you ask.. well once you finish installing this on the wall you told your counter down, you will noticed that it does not sit parallel or flush against the wall/hinge. Now this may not be a big deal to many it annoyed me a bit. Anyway, I have to say it is a well made product but the R&D can be a bit better.Thanks

As far as being polished goes, these are certainly not a #4 finish, or brushed. Also not quite a 2B finish either. Somewhere in between I suppose.But that's no matter to me for a shelf bracket. These brackets are made very well. Strong latch to keep them in place when extended. Will buy again if I need another shelf to fold down.

Very stout, easily operated with a very positive locking action. I bought them to build a relatively small folding shelf in my gun room on which I can repair and/or clean weapons. They do the job extremely well. The reason for the "almost perfect" is the spring on the latch is VERY strong. So strong, in fact, it prevents the shelf from going flat against the wall (see photo). With that said it is a relatively insignificant point and I appreciate that the latch snaps into the locked position and the shelf is VERY stable. I will buy these again when the need for a folding shelf arises.

Works good. As other reviewers have said, it is not perfectly straight. It has a little slack in the hinge, but hold up well. The hinge is about 12" long, and i have a 28"x48" 3/4" plywood on it. The plywood is heavy, so something smaller and lightweight may allow it to straighten up.I have had it installed for two months and use it frequently, so i pleased with the extra works space and being able to drop it down when needed.

Used two of these to install a fold-down work top in a guest room/music studio. I mounted them about 4 feet apart with a 54" x 15" white melamine board on top. Easy peasy, and my music equipment (about 25 lbs.) is stable and supported. I thought at first that the placement/design of the release handles would prevent the work top from folding down flat against the wall when not is use, but I was wrong - the weight keeps everything tight up against the wall. Very happy!

Je devrai probablement retourner le support de tablette si vous ne me proposez pas une solution intéressante.
