Digity Dogs Running Chest Light

I have a black 1911 Kimber and wanted something light and also not too thick. I had some VZ grips with a similar, if not exact pattern of these and while they look great and are a good grip, I found the grooves were too sharp. They were also a tad too thick. I have to tell you, these hit the sweet spot for me. Just right in thickness (I don't have the biggest hands) and no sharp grooves that hurt. Hey, the .45 ACP in a full steel frame is not a difficult round to shoot. No need to have death grip on it. These are cheaper than the VZ grips and I think the off-white tan color sets off a dark colored 1911 just beautifully. Nicely done SkinGripz! Also,the little rubber bushings are a nice touch. I've never really had bushings on my 1911 grips but, it seems to really lock them in nicely. Little thing but, little things ARE the big things.From SkinGripz's website: "Our Grips are all Hand Made for your 1911 Pistol by a small shop of three craftsmen, all Disabled Military Veterans."That sealed the deal for me. I wouldn't write this review if I didn't take the time to shoot with these grips and see how they were made. That they are made by disabled vets? They can expect more orders from me and I suggest anyone (especially you 1911 fans, you know who you are) purchase a pair (or more) of these fine grips. Put these on my Para Expert 1911. Great look. I had pachmayer grips on it before and wanted a more modern appeal. This did the trick.
