As for leg work, it gets you most of the way there. It also looks aesthetically pleasing when you scan even written work with the hexagon in the back. IMHO it makes your work look more professional.My only issue is that the hexagon tracer does not match with the notebook's hexagon. It's slightly bigger.

i like the design, it’s perfect for the chemical formulas i need in my classes. the stencils are practical and durable, great size as well. i will buy more and recommend it to my friends

Sister is going to college (premed) and will be taking orgo. She’s a giant chem nerd and lit up at the sight of this notebook. She said that the stencils really sealed the deal for her. Plus the company that makes this journal donates to a good cause: students of lesser means, who are not able to get the supplies they may need to succeed. It’s a win win. You can’t go wrong.

I write with lots of felt pens and highlight certain key words, the paper is a great thickness! I’m able to use both side with no bleeding of my pens. As a Chem major the stencil is a great time saver, if I want neat notes. I wish I would’ve known about these notebooks a year ago. It’s a well made notebook! I have no complaint, going on month 2 of use.

My daughter got one for her organic chemistry class. It is great! The paper quality is nice and the stencil is extremely helpful. Would recommend.

I haven't used the notebook or stencil yet, but they are exactly as expected. They will help keep my o chem notes readable. yay!

Love it!! The shapes of the stencil dont really fit the lines on the paper (too big), but I use it for my paper notes in class if I need them. Came on time with everything described.

I personally love this as a tool for drawing molecules quickly and uniformly. Especially for written notes, the stencil will give you a much neater overview of everything much quicker. The hexagon from the stencil is, in fact, larger than the one printed in the notebook, but regardless, I think the notebook is a great tool when you have to learn substance structures off by heart in biochemistry.Is this absolutely necessary? No. If you are choosing between this and a molecule set for organic chemistry, ALWAYS choose the set!!In my picture, you see the clear stencil against a black background (with a ruler for reference).
