Decent
Ordered 2 pack and 1 sponge started bleeding black after about a month in and breaking apart at a small end. Worried me as I was not sure if it is dye or the charcoal. Threw it out and tried the 2nd one. So far it's been about a month and it's holding up. Maybe first one was defective? Wish they had better grip but overall good sponges. I like the tear drop shape as it does get into my face better. I use it all over my body and it does its job. Not sure if I will purchase again I may try another option. They did however throw in a couple extras that I was not expecting so that kinda made up for the first one. Hopefully the rest will be ok so I get my moneys worth out of them.Edit: they all bleed and do the same thing. I dont know if this is good or not but its a lot of black bleed. Doesn't stain the skin as long as you rinse it. I dont think ill purchase again.

Avoid gray fingertips. Consider your skin type before buying.
It was fun using water to transform this dry, hard, coal-like handful into a dense, vibrant sponge. The wet product felt nourishing and invigorating, yet gentle, on my skin, and left my face clean, bright, soft, and pleasantly tight. I didn't use my usual Jurlique facial cleanser and didn't miss it. The bamboo charcoal version isn't for me, though, because it stained my very dry fingertips gray. If you also get dry and cracked fingertips in the wintertime, you know what I mean. (Think blueberries.) It's no surprise this black sponge would do the same thing--it drips dark water and the hanging string gets dingy right away. But I'm sold on the concept of the konjac sponge. A biodegradable, sustainable plant product whose alkaline properties and minerals clean and balance your skin? Awesome! And I dig that the same plant is also the main ingredient in shirataki noodles, a nearly calorie-free substitute for pasta. Multipurpose plants rock! So I’ve ordered the white version of the konjac sponge instead. Can't wait till it arrives. If your hands are well hydrated, this bamboo charcoal version may be just right.

Treats psoriasis! WHAT? Worked for me!
I searched for "exfoliating sponge" and this popped up. I had no idea what it was but I went ahead and ordered. It isn't as rough as I'd like for exfoliating, but I'm very happy that I found this by chance. The sponge is just as advertised. The black water that squeezes out seems a little strange at first, but it rinses clean. Also, it doesn't sting in the eyes at all.The main reason I'm writing this review is because of a totally unexpected benefit. I've had stubborn psoriasis for years, a patch on my chest, small patch on my eyebrow, and on my scalp. After a week with the Konjac the patches on my face and chest WENT AWAY! Amazing. Unbelievable, actually. I stopped using it to experiment: the psoriasis came back. Went back to it and again, in less than a week, it's 90% cleared up. Now I'm squeezing out the sponge onto my scalp and rubbing it in, and experiencing the same benefits. I've tried a dozen treatments for psoriasis, this is the best by far. Could be it's just me, but hopefully others will get the same benefit.

I still have tons of flakey skin on my face and I had to use a washcloth (used super gently) for it to come off
A little too soft for me, as I thought it was supposed to be an exfoliator. I know this because I've been getting micro peeling from using Retin-A micro on my face. After using this in the shower, I still have tons of flakey skin on my face and I had to use a washcloth (used super gently) for it to come off. So if you just want to spread soap around, this product works great as it builds up a great lather, but anything else, it's worthless, as a washcloth works a million times better. I cannot say for sure if it has any other benefits for the skin.

Wonderful Whole Body Sponge - Gentle Exfoliation - Saves on Shower Gel!
Having tried the smaller version of this Konjac sponge that I loved for my face, I wanted a larger version so that I could use it in the shower for my whole body. This sponge is more of a tear drop shape whereas the facial sponge was round. The texture of the sponge is perfect for doing gentle exfoliation of my skin. And best of all, just a little bit of product--facial cleanser/shower gel--goes a LONG way! Believe me, if you use too much product you spend a lot of time rinsing your sponge out!The only "Ding" on the product is the rubber hook that was included for hanging up the sponge to dry. It was very made of shoddy materials. Even though I cleaned and dried the tile area where the suction cup was to be placed, it kept falling down. And the metal hook looked like it was made from bent wire and had a rough edge. I threw it away. The suction hook that came with my Konjac facial sponge worked perfectly.

The Konjac Sponges we ordered have been great. We wanted sponges that could be used to scrub, but wouldn't been too harsh on the skin (both face and body)-- the Konjac Sponges fit the bill. The sponges can be used with any soap and are capable of retaining soap suds for awhile, so you don't have to keep lathering them each time you want to use them. That said, they are also easy to clean. Konjac Sponges are also studier than other sponges we've tried, which usually fell apart after a month or so. I'd recommend purchasing this product!

Great for minimizing pores and acne prone skin.
This is one of the better beauty products I've tried in a while. My face was smoother after just one use and my pores seem to be less visible. I use it in conjunction with jaboba oil mixed in with my daily moisturizer. My only complaint is it never seems to fully dry out and I worry about bacteria, but the product says it's naturally antibacterial and you can boil it for a few minutes to freshen it up. Overall, I'm satisfied with this sponge and would recommend it.

I love it
Update after one month's use: I do see the black draining off considerably more now than when I first used it nearly 30 days ago. I also am seeing some disintegration with little bits of the sponge coming off. I didn't see any indication that these are good for a specified length of time, but it seems 30 days is a short lifespan for a natural sponge.original post:I love how my skin feels after using this!
