Relaxing and fun!
I love these paint by numbers! They come with a great quality paint, enough for the painting then some! As well as an amazing set of brushes. I like that these come rolled rather than folded so that the canvas does not have creases.I have painted 2 of the 12 that my husband ordered for and and look forward to painting the other 9(the 10th I gifted to my MIL, as she enjoys painting also)!Thank you for a great product!

thumbs up for BANLANA "The Garden"
PRO:Canvas is rolled, so no ironing of creases needed.Six brushes of various sizes (compared to three from other brands I've tried).Large "map" of painting provided for reference.Plenty of paint so you don't run out.CON:Some colors uneven and required painting twice.OVERALL I enjoyed the experience of completing this painting so much that I just bought another one to work on in the future.I will continue to look for other sets by Banlana as well.

Details missing, but still good rendition of original.
As a child growing up, we always had a painting of the last supper in our dining room that my dad had painted by number long before I was born. That painting was eventually passed on to my older brother, but then it burned in a house fire. Ever since, I have been wanting a paint by number Lord’s Supper to replaced my dad’s, but settled on a puzzle instead a few years ago. Now Amazon and the internet have made it easier for me to look again to find the painting. I chose this one because it retained the detail of DaVinci’s original. But on receiving it, I find that the detail isn’t there. It especially shows in the background and the tablecloth. The pattern on the walls and the folds and designs of the tablecloth show clearly in the advertised picture, but not so on the actual product. This is false advertisement. The advertised picture should actually be a copy of the finished paint by number. Then if they want to show the original alongside it to show how closely they resemble, that would be okay. I’m keeping this, though, because it is still the best rendition of the original that I could find, and I may add a few of those missing details on my own. I may update once I have actually opened up the paint. By the way, it says it comes rolled up—mine was rolled up, but folded first. Not good.Just a little update—I haven’t started painting yet, but wanted to buy a stretcher frame before I begin. Thank goodness I measured the Canvas before I ordered. Yes the Canvas itself is a little over 32 inches long, but the painting is only 31. If you plan to stretch it over a frame, you need even more space to wrap around the frame, and the width of your frame may be anywhere from 3/8 of an inch to an inch and a half. I ordered a 30 inch frame for the length. Measure first if you’re buying a frame.Further update. In keeping with my dad’s original paint by number, I didn’t want all of the ceiling in my picture, so I cut the top down and put it on a 12 x 30 inch frame. Even choosing a 30 inch width frame, it was VERY difficult to stretch because there’s not nearly enough excess in the width for stretching onto a frame. In order to not lose more of the side edges of the picture, I chose to paint around all four edges so that I can hang this without mounting it onto a picture frame. It’s not finished yet, but I’m finding it very challenging. In many places the lines are difficult to see, and the numbers, though difficult to read in many places, are bigger than many of the spaces they belong in, so it’s difficult to know what color should be where. And then, some spaces don’t even have numbers, so you have to make educated guesses. I’m also having to magnify a lot so I can see the pattern better. But I’m up to the challenge. I’ll post a completed painting later.

Beautiful painting
I used it for my own self. Expectation excellent, delivery well on time. condition very good.Unfortunately the number was a little hard to see but then again my eyesight isn't the best these days.I found it good to take a photo with my mobile, made it must easier.

So addictive!!
A friend gifted me a paint by number back in September. I fell in love with with it. Since then (now January) I’ve done 7 paintings. They have all come with brushes- ok, paints - usually at least one of the pots are dry, but the rest of the paint pots are ok. The numbers on the canvas are usually fine to see. Sometimes, there’s no number on the canvas or the reference sheet, but just be creative and take an educated guess from what’s around it.For the price, I think it’s a great deal. Now to frame and hang them all. Hahahaha

Very beautiful picture
The media could not be loaded. This one was the most difficult paint by number I've ever done. It is not for beginner level! The packaging was good. My canvas wasn't bend as previously reviews mentioned. If it is, you can always iron it. I was surprised by it sickness and size. I always use my own brushes though. You'll definitely need a detailed brushes because the ones that provided would be difficult to work with for the facial details. Some numbers didn't match the color and it was hard to see, so you'll need to constantly check with the sample picture or use your own creativity. Light colors will need to be double coated, that's why it took me over 50hrs to finish it because I basically painted twice with a second layer. I had it customed framed and gifted to my friend. She loved it! Very happy with the way it came out, better than expected.

Paint is too thin
This is the sixth PbyN I've had and the paint is too thin, doesn't cover the segments well. The Canvas is fine and the fact it doesn't come folded is a plus as some I've had have tp be ironed to get the creases in the canvas out. Not the case with this one that came rolled in a box.

Multiple dried up paint numbers
I love the Van Gogh paint by numbers. I gifted myself this for Christmas, thinking this would be perfect for cold winter days. The delivery took a lot longer, kept being delayed. Fine, as long as it’s delivered, I’m okay with that. When it came, I started on it. The first 2-3 numbers where okay to paint with. You do need to look very good and watch what you’re doing, because it’s printed very fine. Then I started to get paint cups that had dried out. I thought it was because I couldn’t finish a number in 1 go, so it sat (closed of course) for a bit. But then there where unopened numbers that where dried out. Turns out I only have about 1 or 2 good paint cups, and the rest it dried out. I can try to dilute them, but then they’ll be too thin and I’ll have to go back over multiple times, and it still won’t cover properly. This is so frustrating! I do not recommend this product!

☹️
I have done several paint by numbers,, have to say this one is most difficult as the numbers are not clearly labeled esp when the colour covers a large area with many ‘turns & corners’. As all numbers are the same font size, many of them fall outside of the intended areas, once you painted a neighboring area you won’t be able to see the number of this area anymore. Luckily I took a photo of the canvas before starting. Also the margin (canvas surplus) is very narrow (2.3cm) ……relaxation becomes stressful:(

Translucent paints - disaster
A gift for my wife during lockdown - she's done these before and we fancied a Van Gogh.A real shame because the canvas is good, but majority of colours are watery and see-thru - even 2 coats and can still see the numbers beneath. Stirred etc, they are just lacking pigment. And on a painting like this 2 coats or more on most colours is beyond mind-bending.Unforgivable I think, decent more dense paints would make it excellent but as is it's not worth attempting.

Very good value for money
Really enjoyed doing this, I would say the paint was a bit hit and miss, some of the pots were better than others in their thickness, all of my painting has been done twice as the coverage wasn’t good, so took ages to do. The second coat was a dab on kind of coat though. The canvas has tiny bumps all over, so the first coat kind of leaves the bumps showing through, hence the dab over.Apart from that, I’m really pleased with it, and would definitely buy this make again.

Lament of the label
This is a gift for a twenty year old arty friend, so I haven't opened it yet. I plan to update the review if she let's me know how it is, but I am disappointed in how the label was slapped on to an otherwise quite pretty box. It's not easy to remove, and downgrades the appearance of the gift. Would have been better rif the label was somewhere less conspicuous, like on an end.

Good Stuff
I bought this 'painting by numbers' to give myself something to do during lockdown. It is really good. it requires some care and attention but the finishing result is great. As this is a copy of a painting by Van Goch you finish with a great painting
