Boyd Enterprises Elite Chemi-Pure (Pack of 2)

I had high phosphates in my saltwater tank. Due to me being sick and not being able to do water changes as needed. Now that I am better, I bought this product and making water changes really brought down the phosphates. I love this product. Easy to use change out every three months I’m just going to continue to use it to keep my phosphates down.

Bought this product because my daughter put a piece of paper in my fish tank.The water was cloudy for days .I put a bag of this carbon and within an hour I noticed a clear difference.

I have never been a huge fan but I do use this in my 10 gallon reef AIO. It’s an easy way to get a little extra filtration without reactors and I do think carbon makes the water look cleaner. The GFO and resin don’t seem to hurt anything either. If I was less lazy I’d just put same carbon in a bag and change it occasionally but this makes it easy.It definitely does not replace frequent water changes; especially in small tanks. I have tried using it in the past to “fix” tanks with algae problems, reduce water changes, or increase bio load and have been unsuccessful.I would not use this product in anything larger than 40 gallons or so as tanks larger than that require that you work to correct individual imbalances (phosphates, nitrates, Ph, etc).

I use 2 of these for my 24 gal nano cube. This is in addition to a bag of Purigen and a bag of Phosguard. I replace all every 2 months. I have 2 clowns and 3 cardinal fishes. I do 20% water change weekly and I rinse these on every water change. I haven’t had any casualties nor have I gotten any sick fish. My water parameters are always good, super clear, and no smell. No need to buy bags as this size come in bags and zip tied.

Not sure how to contact seller but I purchased this 2 pk on Aug 22nd.Tonight I opened the 2nd container and not only was it wet but it smelled like mildew. Took out the bag and the inside of the container had mildew on it.3 stars, as the product works well but longevity isn't good.

I have 3of these in my 75 gal saltwater tank. They work good
