Use minerals spirit to clean up.
This is the best sealent on the market. Last for yrs. Really good to seal up cracks where water collects. Worth the money.

Best I've found
Quality sealant, used on various exterior projects, latest being a satellite dish mounting block attached to a vinyl sided chimney. I'll never have to wonder if it's leaking.

Bubbles up in High Temps
I have been using Solar Seal 900 since 2011. It sticks to anything, is paintable, and strong as glue. I use it on my roof to seal exposed nails, and in butt joints between cedar trim and cement board siding. It would be a perfect caulk except for one glaring flaw - after a year, it bubbles up at the butt joints. They look like someone is blowing bubble gum. So, each year, I get up on a ladder, cut into the bubbles with an Exacto knife, and stuff the inside with more solar seal. I've left a few go for a couple of years, and they got larger and thinner. I called a Solar Seal representative and asked for an explanation. The representative didn't know why it was happening. The bubbles are worse in direct sun, and virtually nonexistent in the shade. The first time it happened, I removed all of the caulk in the bubbled up joints and replaced it with new caulk. The next year, though, the same joints bubbled up. I'm not sure what causes this, but it's a major drawback for an otherwise perfect caulk.Update 10/8/2017: The past two summers have been mild in Indiana and the caulk hasn't bubbled up as much except in areas that get the most exposure. In these areas, the caulk cracked in some places and I ended up cutting it out entirely and replacing it. So, it's clear that the bubbling is related to temperature and expansion. My conversations with the Solar Seal reps confirmed that my situation was well within the caulk's advertised capability.

do not like the color
If it was colorless or clear, the product would be perfect.

This stuff is super sticky and very strong once it cures
This stuff is super sticky and very strong once it cures. I use it for all sorts of inappropriate things, body work on cars, sticking roof shingles down, glued my garage door frame back together. Once it cures, it's stronger than wood. But it does take a long time to cure and since it's sticky so unless you wear gloves, you need to use paint thinner to remove. Because it's so sticky, it sticks to almost anything which is really nice. Lasts for years too and can be painted.
