It works very well and is well made. But the claims that it doesn't let water in didn't work out for me. I have very short hair and it is color treated. I need to protect it from chlorine. It doesn't stay down over my earlobes (I have a small head so this is a little odd) and therefore leaks water into the sides and back of the cap. My hair was dry on top. I will still use the cap. I was advised to put a strong protein treatment in my hair before I put the cap on to seal the hair against the chlorine and then rinse when I get out of the pool. Then follow up with a moisture mask hydrating conditioner and I should be good to go. It is comfortable and easy to put on though.

For everyone looking for a totally waterproof seal—I've finally figured out a solution! When I first got into lap swimming, I ordered this cap and tried it on its own. My head is a bit on the large side (I'm a very average sized 27 year old woman) but the cap didn't entirely stretch down to cover the nape of my neck, or stay over my ears—just a bit small It slipped up and wasn't a very comfortable swim since I had to pull it down at each end of the pool. What DOES work is to wear a silicone headband UNDERNEATH this swim cap! It's ingenious. the headband easily covers my hairline and the entirety of my ears, and then the swim cap slides right on over the top, and the two pieces of silicone together make a perfect seal. Now I do still wet my hair before putting it on (and cover liberally with conditioner or coconut oil, in case a bit of water leaks) but seriously. This IS the solution. It went on easily. Fit snugly. Was relatively comfortable. But it did not keep my hair dry, which was the real point of the product. I have fine, chin-length hair and it barely fit in the cap, so I would not recommend it for anyone with longer hair or anyone who is really concerned with keeping the hair dry. I guess it worked to keep my hair out of my face and maybe kept it from absorbing as much chlorine as it would have sans cap but I was disappointed with how wet my hair was when I took it off after an hour of swimming.

Based on other reviews I expected this cap to keep my hair dry, but it did not. I could feel water come inside the cap as soon as my head went under the water. Perhaps I didn't put it on right but I tried to be sure it was tight around all the edges. It did a good job of keeping my hair out of my face, but not on keeping my hair dry.

This is 'just okay' so far. I've only been able to use it once and I was really disappointed while still in the pool and I could tell my hair was getting wet. I'm going to try it again and even though I believed I had it properly sealed and snug on my head; I'll see if I can't pull it down further or SOMETHING to help keep the water out. My whole head wasn't yet, but certainly the bottom half. :-( I bought two (one for a friend) and I haven't had a report on her experience as yet. Hopefully, I'll try it again and take this from just okay to 'I love it.'

This is a very cute Seim cap but it is extremely tight. In all fairness I have very long hair past my shoulders I may fit better on a person with shorter hair. I did not test it for water entry because I couldn't stand to wear it since it was so tight.

Keeps hair in place but doesn't keep it dry. But after many attempts at finding a cap to keep my hair dry I have found that it's a feat that is nearly impossible. Also kind of tight fitting. Had a headache after wearing it a few hours.
