I got this item for free with a promise to write an honest review.I have low ferritin issues and this didn't help keep my levels up at all unfortunately. The company are great to deal with, deliver quickly and are courteous. Sadly I am not sold on this new product. Here's why.Pros: Easy to swallow, easy on the stomach unlike a lot of iron supplements. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.Cons: The iron contents is not written on the label. There are no nutritional information at all. What are you getting out of this? No way to know. They are very pricy.Verdict, I will not carry on with this product.

High quality supplement , no fillers , great list of ingredients , well recommended

When I saw these vegan iron tablets I jumped at the chance to try them. However, on closer inspection, I have realised they are very overpriced. At more than 15 pounds for 60 capsules at the time of writing this, with a recommended dosage of 2-4 per day, this is at most a month's supply. The vegan iron tablets I was previously taking were less than 5 pounds for 120 tablets! Plus they are quite large sized capsules, and it is never enjoyable to have to take two or more per day.Furthermore, quite suspiciously, there is no mention of the actual iron dosage in these capsules. Instead there is only quantities of the ingredients listed rather than the actual amount of iron that comes from these ingredients. For someone who is actually worried about low iron levels, this vagueness would not be suitable. Perhaps if you wanted to take these as part of a healthy balance diet with no known health problems, as a preventative measure, it would be OK, but I do not understand why the manufacturer does not disclose iron dosages on the bottle.Therefore I cannot recommend these supplements, unfortunately.

I've suffered with low irons levels and being a vegan I've been taking a vegan 14mg Iron supplement for a couple of years (initially every day) and now every other day which has boosted my iron levels to the point where I can give blood every 3 months (I'm male, women can't give quite as frequently).I was intrigued by this Herbal Iron but nowhere does it state how much of the daily amount of iron it provides, the dosage can be between 2-4 capsules a day, so how much iron is that providing exactly?! For a supplement that is providing an essential mineral, you think it would state it.The pot contains 60 capsules but with a dosage of between 2-4 capsules, a pot is going to last either 15 or 30 days. My existing supplement has 90 tablets and is only £9.Long term this supplement is pretty expensive... A years supply of another vegan brand works out at £36, this supplement costs £194 over the same period (at 2 capsules a day)The capsules themselves are easy to swallow but compared to another vegan tablet they are far larger (see photo). They don't have any after taste.Fundamentally I not convinced there is anything to back up the claims of increased energy levels or even maintaining an iron level. It is also cheaper to buy a different iron supplement that is approved by the Vegan Society.Hopefully you found this review helpful.

It is 2-4 tablets per day, so either a 30 or 15 day supply according to usage.No fillers, additives, binders, preservatives!Vegan, Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Cruelty-freeI usually have severe stomach issues when taking iron supplements, but because I am anaemic I have to take iron. When taking those I have had no stomach issues and my iron count is up.Will continue to use these!If you're not sure if this supplement is right for you, do your research properly or consult a professional nutritionist/dietitian or ask your GP or pharmacist if unsure.Thanks for reading my review, I hope you found it helpful

Compared to other products available, these tablets aren't very competitively priced.They also don't state exactly what dosage of iron you're actually getting - this is an immediate no. If I'm paying a premium, I expect to know whether I'm hitting my daily recommended intake or not as a bare minimum.The tablets are quite large in comparison to other options but thankfully don't have much in the way of a flavour. I'm not particularly fussy when it comes to taking tablets, but if I had to take four of these a day I'd be looking at my alternatives.The bottle doesn't feature a safety cap which isn't a concern if you're careful with your medication, but it is possible to overdose on iron, especially children and can lead to some nasty effects - however I suspect these tablets don't have enough iron in them to cause any harm, hence why it's not listed on the bottle.

If you suffer from fatigue, tiredness or a general feeling of being sluggish your iron levels are probably low! People usually try to combat this with caffeine for a quick fix, but if you want to beat the problem you need to increase your intake of iron in your diet and these are an easy way to do so! Being vegan it’s essential you get a good amount of iron, often I need to supplement but I’ve found some brands have bad side effects. So far I’ve noticed no side effects at all from these which is great, I definitely do feel a little more perky too! I struggle to swallow pills and supplements but these were a nice size that went down easily and had no nasty aftertastes either. In the tub you get 60 tablets which are vegetarian and vegan friendly, the iron in these tablets is plant based with no artificial ingredients so you can trust you’re getting quality natural goodness! Pleased with these iron supplements.
