The media could not be loaded. I have been using Boya BY-M1 for the last 3-4 years for making YouTube videos for fun and records. Before that, I was using laptop's inbuilt microphone for voiceovers. However recently, I thought of making a repository of all the short stories that I wrote, a video articles for which I thought of buying a budget microphone having a cardioid pattern. My issue with BOYA M1 was excessive capture of external noises as I used to record voice in my living room. My research started in April this year and finally decided to buy BOYA BY-PM700. I got it at the discounted price of 6800 INR. As soon as I received it, I tested it especially the cardioid pattern in different ways in terms of gain levels and recording distances from the microphone. I tried it in my laptop having windows 10, desktop with windows 11, macbook pro and my Samsung Galaxy S21FE (connection with Android needs OTG connector). The Cardioid pattern was amazingly silent to the noises other than my voice in the computer having windows 11. It was really a miracle for me who have been using omnidirectional lavalier microphone since long. That's why I thought of sharing an unprocessed sound clip here recorded in Audacity. However, it is noisy while using it with windows 10, macbook and Android.While using it recording stories, I'm setting the gain level at 30% and talk almost 2 inches near to the microphone. I don't have a pop filter till now but finding very less plosive sounds (Nepali language may have fewer plosive words 😂). Still, tests are underway and I will share an in-depth review in future.Built quality is great. Sound can be better. This does not work with usb-c to micro cable. Many mobiles are with micro. Worked with c type Modile.Item is looking nice. but its very heavy. We need to be very careful, if it falls on laptop. but item is overall i felt good. i got it for 4100 rupees. is cheaper comprared to MRP 10700 INR. But 4k for microphone is bit expensive. Still boya branded and the build quality and audio quality is nice. overall satisfied for price.Item is excellent. But in two days price dropped to 3600 inr. So returning and buying again.Gain button seems not working or don’t understand. But noise cancellation is good.

No any active service cantre and customer care contact is available. this microphone can damage your mobile or laptop jack and create heating problem in device. this mic is condensor mic and condensor mic can't compatable without phentom power device. big problem is c type jack on condensor microphone.

Easy to use. Plug and play on a phone or laptop/computer via USB. Great for using online calls or conferences. Works well for recordings etc. The USB cable that came along with the product was faulty and created noise in recordings. Took me a "noob" a while to figure and fix this. Updated the rating after I understood.

The media could not be loaded. 1. The difference between omnidirectional and cardioid polar patterns is not noticeable at all.2. This records even ceiling fan sound, crow voice outside my house, even drill machine noise from my neighbour is being recorded.The noise cancellation capacity is zero. Now, I realise that there is a very huge difference between active noise cancellation and just noise cancellation(scam).3. You can use this for smartphone but most of the smartphone's app doesn't support external microphone. So, the type C cable is nearly useless.4. Ignoring the noise, the sound quality is really top notch.5. Not value for money at all if you are looking for noise cancellation feature6. Value for money if you just want a great quality sound and you can remove the noise using computer software like Audacity.

Using with my Realme and PC. Very much suitable for direct recording. So it’s a monitorable recording that you can do easily.One touch mute I think is a most needed feature. Read reviews on the international forums and all are true. The only manageable issue is a slippery stand. Got my recent podcasts done in the open air and my room as well. Also used this for my weekly call and conference. Go for it. If you phone memory is good like above 32Gb, direct recording are easy. The file format is editable as well.Also, I was able to get support from BOYA and Dexter contact mentioned for queries.The built is good, buttons are durable, connections are easy.

It can directly connect with Laptop and desktop but not with Android or iOS mobiles and tablets/iPad as it requires more power to turn on this usb condensor microphone. This is not mentioned in the product description and I am spending extra 1,599/- money for Lightening camera adapter, still not sure if it goes well with it. Fingers crossed...Revised comments after using the product for 10 months: Need to play with all features in it for the best audio quality and volume. Works awesome with iOS devices using connector but average with Android devices (problem with portronics connector, not this mic. Maybe some other connector suits better with this 🎤).

I am in love with this mic now, with this price range, it is amazing, i wanted a mic with 24bit and 48kHz and was not sure which mic to pick, till my cousin recommended me this and flawless usage, just plug it in via USB and let it roll, no additional drivers required, works like a charm with audacity software and amazing recording quality. Love it and with this budget highly recommended !

Great Sound, but the USB to mic connection is not as good as it could be, Lead falls out when moved.
