Love the flavor of the sardines and the olive oil seems high quality and tasty. Organic. Product of Portugal which signifies high quality compared to unknown sources from the Pacific Ocean.

Maggots everywhere!!! I am absolutely repulsed. I opened the cardboard box it smelled so bad I instantly threw up. There was a bag holding the sardines inside the cardboard box and the bad was broken open. There were maggots all over the outside and the inside of bag. At least one can must have broken open but, this had to be stored this way for a long time for the amount of maggots. I was not willing to explore any further so my pictures are limited. I’m sure had I been brave enough to look further in the bag I would need therapy. OH and it’s a non-returnable item. This is just ridiculous.

These are wild caught and packed in organic extra virgin olive oil. So delicious. I cleaned them up a bit, chopped lightly, added fresh lemon juice, pepper, and capers. What a treat on crackers or toast.

These are are a bit pricy but they are delicious!
