I used these with some cricut designs. I really like this as a mini grocery bag.

Craft table or produce market?
The pack of 12 tote bags comes packaged nicely in what I presume is a non-recyclable plastic bag. Even though these are generously cut 15 by 16 inches, they don't hold a lot. The bottom of the bag is not designed to be square, it's so closed like a pillowcase or an envelope might be. These aren't canvas but are a rough cotton weave that although looks nice, isn't really that strong. I wouldn't attempt to carry anything terribly heavy in these. These would be good for carrying smaller items, perhaps produce at the farmer's market. In the ad text, it mentions that it would be good to throw towels in this for the beach, but I can't see putting a beach towel in this bag. If you did get a beach towel rolled up tight enough to fit in the bag, you wouldn't be getting anything else in it.Don't think I dislike these bags, they have a purpose, it's just for light use, smaller items only. They do have generously sized handles, and although they are plain cotton, I'm sure they will decorate nicely. My local neighborhood Nana says that she wants to decorate them with fabric pens and paint, so there are some more ideas for these bags.

Good sturdy bags. Not too big.
At last… I have a set of bags that I can carry with ease. They're not so large that they'll get overfilled with heavy things I can't carry, but there are plenty of them, so I won't have to resort to plastic or paper unless I'm doing a huge shopping trip. Since they're a matched set, I'm not juggling multiple bags in different sizes and materials as I shop. I simply slip 11 of the bags into one of them and they're a tidy package that comes off my wrist for use at checkout. The fabric is sturdy, sustainable, and unbleached. I really like the natural look. Since they're cotton, they'll be easy to wash and keep clean. I do so love that they're simple and unfussy. Here's what's especially good to know… There is NO SEAM on the bottom, which is exactly where a split would start if there was one. The stitching all around is well done and secure, but I knew someone had thought the design out when I saw that. I just heard that the local store I usually shop at is fazing out plastic bags and I'm sure other's will follow. So I'm ready for the switch, in the best possible way.

Awesome! A Dozen Large Re-usable totes, Groceries, Crafts, Gifts...
In California, we have to pay for our bags. Everywhere. Ten cents a bag. It actually adds up faster than you would think - a couple of bucks a week, runs close to $100 a year! FOR WHAT?! So, a nice big pack of bags in the back of your cars saves quite a bit of dough.NOT the only use, for these perfectly sewn, 15" x 16" inch large cotton totes - my daughter wants a bunch for gift bags for her friends! She is going to fabric paint/marker them each with a special design and fill them with all the fun stuff high school girls love. So much fun to be young!I can tell these bags would be awesome to tie-dye as well. There is a ton of craft projects you can do with these.Or just use them for groceries, which is my intention, with the few my daughter doesn't grab!

Basic thin, cheap cotton conference bags at a cheap price. Nice for favors, promos.
I've been ordering custom cotton sheeting promo bags for my business' workshops for years. These are your standard issue natural cotton sheeting promo bag at the going rate. This are a great alternative to custom bags for short runs, smaller conferences or gift-with-purchase goodies. They're not fancy, but they're just what I expected for the price. I looked at my order history, and these are cheaper per bag than my last two orders. The quality is actually a little nicer, actually, fewer wonky seams and wrinkles. If you're unfamiliar with this type of bag, the "canvas" description refers to the appearance of fiber, not the weight of the fabric. These are very thin, lightweight bags. Unprinted canvas-fabric bags are typically in the $6+ category, even for cheap ones, not the under $2 category. These work great with heat transfers (you actually get a much better print that with true canvas bags). Since cheapie custom bags have higher minimum orders, I typically order custom for my bigger workshops and make my own with this type of bag for the smaller ones. They work well with transfers, diy prints, or embroidery. Just fyi, this type of bag does shrink a lot, but most people don't launder their giveaway bags. If you expect your clients to launder (depending on the use), I would launder before customizing unless you're screen printing, which handles shrinkage fine. If you're looking for a nicer final appearance, laundering and ironing might be worth the trouble, because the laundered fabric will be thicker and denser, but the overall size will typically be an inch smaller (and look even smaller than that before pressing). They're also a nice, economical choice for shop gift-with-purchase promos, since you can just order a few and customize them yourself, to see if they're a popular offer, before or instead of investing in a larger order. I typically budget wasting 1 bag per run getting the print just right.Out of the package, these are very flat and ready to print, no pressing necessary, and no weird creases to work around.
