TL284443 Battery Replacement for Nest T3007ES T3008US Learning Thermostat 3rd Generation Learning Thermostat 3rd Gen Learning Thermostat 2nd Generation A0013

I bought this as a test and was nervous as the mAh is so much less than original (which I gather equates to depth of charge essentially) - but I gambled. I installed the battery into my nest and discovered the where the endcap of the battery is, where the wires attach is thicker than the rest of the battery in comparison to the original nest battery. This caused an issue with the back of the case going together correctly. To test I reinstalled the old battery 2x back and forth to determine this was the problem. Next issue was the long wire - then has to be routed to plug in correctly - and it is a bit short so was a struggle to get the battery aligned properly with the case back and plugged in. Finally when installed and put together - I charged it for several hours with a wall charger....installed it and it immediately had a low battery issue (though it read 3.72v) where nest would not connect to internet. I let it run for 8 hours on a cool day so AC was not really running....and then it was a 3.42v. Finally I took it off, charged it overnight - put it on, and battery was so low it would not come on. Overall took 1 hour plus to install it just right - took it out and nest original battery reinstall literally took 5 minutes. Maybe I will try the Cameron Sino....

Sure the connector fits a nest thermostat, but the battery is the wrong physical size and capacity. I ended up just buying a new nest thermostat.

Waste of time, total garbage out of the box

The battery would not charge so I wasted my money.

Does to work with the Nest 3RD gen. Will not charge.

It says compatible, but it’s not. Don’t try to replace the batter when yours dies, instead just purchase a micro usb cord, plug it in the back, and the wall, and you’re good to go.
